Abura Uchiha (うちは あぶら, Uchiha Abura) is an important historic character in Diaries of the Hidden Waterfall, a long-form fanfiction by User:NejiHyuga2.

The sixth child and youngest daughter of Tajima Uchiha, her existence was erased from history as a result of her emerald eyes. She was exiled from the Uchiha clan at the age of five, resulting in the Uchiha splitting apart with some Uchiha breaking away to follow Abura, the "princess", into exile; this movement was led by Abura's two older sisters, Asuna and Fūsha. With herself at the head, she and the breakaway members of the Uchiha conquered and settled in the area that was soon to be the Land of Waterfalls; Abura would also found Takigakure with herself and her direct descendants as its head. With the incredible powers granted by her unique emerald eye, Abura was known by the epithet of Jadeite Sage (硬玉仙人, Kōgyoku Sennin) and through her, sired the Abura clan.

Background[]

Born to Tajima Uchiha, her birth led to the death of her mother; this combined with the fact that she possessed emerald green eyes led to Tajima labeling his own daughter as cursed; as a result, she was thrown out and raised by other Uchiha who felt sorry for her. From the moment she could fight, Abura was on the battlefield as she was born during the time of endless war. The Uchiha who raised her were impressed by the power of her emerald eyes; at the age of five, Tajima caught wind that her daughter was still alive and officially made the decision to disown and exile her, much to the protests of his two eldest sons. Her exile caused a schism in the Uchiha clan with a large number of Uchiha deserting the main clan led by Tajima's other two daughters; Madara convinced her father to let them go in exchange for the adamant rule that should Uchiha from their side encounter the defecting Uchiha in battle, they are to be immediately killed as retribution for deserting the main clan. Upon reaching Abura's ears, this decision resulted in her weeping silently to herself, as she understood that her overly kind brother Madara would not suggest something like that without having killed his emotions.

Upon arriving in the land that would be known as the Land of Waterfalls, Abura and her retinue would encounter the native population living there who immediately opened hostilities against them as their reputation as Uchiha was known to them as well. With no choice, Abura exercised her powers and annihilated those who stood against her, with only members of two clans giving her trouble. Deciding that it would be a waste to massacre them, Abura offered the chiefs of the two clans the choice of serving her or risk the destruction of their clan; wisely, the two clans chose to swear fealty to the powerful young Uchiha who by this time was still no older than thirteen...
