Aoi Rokushō (緑青アオイ, Rokushō Aoi) was a jōnin from Amegakure and a missing-nin from Konohagakure.
Background[]
Aoi Rokushō was a chūnin instructor who stole the legendary lightning sword known as “Sword of the Thunder God” alongside a secret scroll with information of how to use the weapon at full potential. He fled Konoha and intended to become a jōnin in Amegakure.[1]
Years later, Aoi accompanied his genin team under a disguise when Amegakure participated in the Chūnin Exams, disappointed with their performance at the Forest of Death.[2]
Before the events of Part II, Naruto Uzumaki was on a three-year training trip with Jiraiya and was assigned a mission to find and eliminate Aoi Rokushō and return the Sword of the Thunder God back to Tsunade Senju, one of her clan’s remaining property.
Abilities[]
While being recognized as a jōnin of Amegakure, Aoi’s overall skillset as such was dubious at best as his promotion to it was mainly due to selling secrets to Amegakure, having originally been only a chūnin in Konohagakure. Even with a powerful sword developed by the Second Hokage, was too recklessly reliant on it, ending up defeated with combined efforts of Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki, a genin-level shinobi at the time.
