Aoide Fūma, née Shiin, was a kunoichi from the Land of Sound's Shiin Clan and previous vessel for Shiinshiki Otsutsuki. She spent most of her life in hiding from The Followers of Shiin.

Background[]

Early Life[]

The Land of Sound was said to be home to many shinobi clans, who had been used in a hopeless war, with the clans suffering heavily. The Shiin Clan is one of the oldest clans in the area, being direct descendants of Shiinshiki Otsutsuki. Sometime later, however, civil war broke out. The clan split into 2 opposing factions. The Followers of Shiin and The Keepers of Shiin's Will. Aoide was born into The Followers Faction. Shortly after her birth, she was ripped from her family because she harmonized with Shiinshiki's Baton.

This meant she was compatible with Shiinshiki's Kama. Compatibility with an Ōtsutsuki is exceedingly rare and unpredictable, and if an individual is not a suitable recipient, the ritual will typically result in them suffering a fatal seizure. Shortly after the death of Shion Shiin, 3 children were found to be suitable vessels. The first, however would die before finishing the ritual. The second, would result in a white Kama. Finally the third, Aoide was forced to become a vessel to balance power. However, Aoide would escape thanks to Kanoto-an undercover member of The Keepers of Shiin's Will.

Adult Life[]

Aoide later marries Shiro Fūma, a Konohagakure Jonin. They eventually have a son named, Arikurin. His birth, however, alerted the Followers of Shiin to their general location when when Shiinshiki's Drum began to Harmonize. Within 2 years, FOS agents arrived at their doorstep. Their home was brutally attacked and destroyed. Shiro was able to defeat more than 10 agents. The last one, however, would give him trouble.

In order to let wife and son escapes, he was forced to use forbidden murder-suicide. He connected his heart to his opponent so that internal damage done to one will also be done to the other, killing them both. Unknown to him, he would also save his future unborn twins. Shiro's body was later brought to Konoha Cemetery.

Not long after, Aoide realizes she was pregnant again. Fearful of being found again, she leaves Akiri and Akira children with other Fūma clan members. She vows to stop the followers and protect her children. Aoide escapes to The Land of Wind where she is protected by The Keepers. Unknown to her many Fuma clan members would later join Orochimaru in newly forming Otogakure. Both of her twins are forced to be used in his kinjutsu development experiments.

Personality[]

Aoide was a kind-hearted and helpful person. She hated hurting others, though she was not above hurting others to keep her children safe. Aoide was very courageous, sacrificing her life multiple times to give her children hopes at a better life.

Appearance[]

Aoide was a brow-skinned girl with blackhair. It was straight and reaches her thighs which is mostly covered by the black hood of her jacket and a gray scarf. Aoide had grey eyes, which are accented by her rainbow chakra when in battle. In her old age, her hair had turned almost completely gray and she had the stature of an elderly woman. She wore a dark purple dress with a black shawl

Abilities[]

Aoide was capable Kunoichi that specialized in close to medium-range combat. She was very fast, nimble, and evasive, able to gracefully perform leaps and flips. With Shiinshiki's Baton, she utilizes techniques that involve slashing, swinging, and stabbing with the staff. She can also open portals.

Nature Transformation[]

Aoide possessed the Sound Release kekkei genkai. With the help of special kunai that have a hollow body, different sounds can be created, which form the basis of their genjutsu. By striking two kunai together, she could perform various techniques such as releasing genjutsu, and enhancing another's chakra, causing them to gain an increase in speed and strength while she played .

Kama[]

Aoide possessed the Kāma mark of Shiinshiki Ōtsutsuki, which she acquired when the Followers of Shiin branded her to become a vessel. However, her Kama was never fully developed.

Aoide and Arikurin meet.

When Akira arrives with multiple Followers, her and Aoide's Kama's begin to resonate. Aoide is later killed giving Arikurin a chance to escape.
