Arashi was brought to the Naruto universe by Orochimaru, alongside his friend Kosaru. His original name is unknown as he took on the name when he first arrived.
Background[]
At some point in time Arashi's grandparents moved to South Africa from Scotland.
Like Kosaru, Arashi hails from the Highveld of Southern Africa. He was initially unsure of joining his friend in an anime Marathon for fear of their abusive guardian's wrath, he then chided Kosaru when they were summoned to the ninja world. After the ninetails' husk was sealed inside Kosaru, Orochimaru is said to have sealed 33.3% of its chakra into Arashi.
Little else is known about his background aside from Kosaru's note that he learnt to play Ace of Spades when he was six.
Personality[]
Arashi claims to be very different from Kosaru in that he always takes the subjective route and is very emotional when he sees harm being done. This balances with Kosaru's observer personality. Kosaru openly stated his dependency on Arashi claiming that he would never act on anything if Arashi wasn't there and at the same time Arashi has stated that he'd be dead if Kosaru didn't hold him back every now and then.
Arashi has a strong affection towards Fu, the jinchuriki of Chomei the seven tails. This is seen for the first time when he beats Neji half to death for his assault on Fu. He also gets along well with Anko, his adoptive 'older sister' figure. This is largely due to his sadistic side and their shared love of food though Anko notes she likes him because 'He's cute and his blood tastes like dango'.
Arashi and Kosaru will frequently chide each other with Arashi referring to Kosaru as Saru or 'Monkey' and Kosaru referring to Arashi as Fuun or 'Bad Luck' due to Arashi's inexplicably bad luck such as his motion sickness, tendency to be chosen as the first target in most fights and lack of balance on ledges or where cacti are concerned.
Mirai claims that their ability to laugh about hating each other is what makes them brothers.
Appearance[]
Arashi has a very lean build and is notably taller than most people of his age but still claims to be one of the shortest in his family. He has fair skin, dark hair and an implanted Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. The Sharingan closely resembled an inversely colored version of Madara's own Eternal Mangekyou. Orochimaru later claims that the eyes are the fruit of Shin Uchiha.
Between Part I and Part II Arashi's attire didn't change much as he retained the black hoodie, three quarter length pants and combat boots. The only difference was his change from a fabric to mesh shirt during the time skip. During the chunin exams he briefly lost his jacket in a scuffle between Orochimaru and his team, he's seen wearing it again during the Konoha Crush.
Fu noted that Arashi was more handsome compared to Kosaru, something Kosaru admitted to.
