Arikō Mitarashi is a Jonin of Konohagakure. He is also a high ranking member of the Five Great Countries' Joint Investigation Team.
Background[]
Arikurin and Young Ariko
During the Interlude, Arikurin Shiin and Anko Mitarashi rekindled a past relationship. They eventually had Arikō. Arikurin however, wouldn't learn about his son until returning from his extended mission. During Anko's pregnancy, her curse mark power leaked into Ariko causing him to be born prematurely and very sick.
He is eventually given medicine from Tree Felling Village. While at the academy, Ariko lived up to the expectation of both of his parents. He, however, soon began to despise living in their shadows. When Anko becomes an instructor at Konoha's Academy, she has a fight with Ariko because he prefers to not have his mom as his teacher. Upon graduating, Ariko joined ANBU at a young age hoping to make a name for himself. He is later invited to join the Five Great Countries' Joint Investigation Team. When he returns to Konoha, Ariko is promoted to Jonin.
Personality[]
Ariko is noted to be similar to both of his parents in various ways. Arikō can be both being loud and stubborn, but, done act without thinking. As an adult, he isstraight-forward man who is shown to be keen minded and perceptive.
Appearance[]
Arikō full body
As a child Arikō, had violet braids and a round face. As an adult, he is fairly tall with a narrower face and well-built in frame. He wears black pants, black sandals and while on duty, he wears a standard flak jacket with a purple armband on his left arm that has his clan's emblem on.

Nature Transformation[]
Prior to the academy Arikō was taught many of his mothers techniques, such as the Hidden Shadow Snake Hands and its stronger variant. Arikō is shown performing this technique with the snakes being summoned from his hair. As an adult, he can use Wind Release to strengthen the penetrative power of his attacks. Arikō can use his inherited Sound Release Kekkei Genkai with his chakra blades, increasing the distance and penetrative power. He is skilled in multiple nature transformations.

Soundwave attack
Arikō is able to produce a high-pitch sound wave with his vocal cords. The technique is wide in range and is strong enough to temporarily knock out everyone in its immediate vicinity. Through chakra control training, he learned to focus this technique into a shockwaves able to strike targets from great distances and with greater power.
Genjutsu[]
Arikō is a very powerful genjutsu user which he inherited from his father. He has the ability to create mind-controlling illusions, which are nearly undetectable and impossible to block or dispel, even when figured out by the victim. He himself has mastered Demonic Illusion: Cajolery of Glamour, a voice-induced genjutsu which allowed him to control targets using only speech; leaving them in a brainwashed state and able to reveal intel.
Physical Prowess[]
Taijutsu
Like his father, Arikō can fight at close-range having trained with his father in taijutsu. His battle style revolves mainly around taijutsu, combined with his special trench knives to create a melee-type fighting style. These knives are made of a special metal that is capable of easily being infused with chakra. With his Flying Swallow, he could extend the blades with his chakra to injure an enemy several feet out of the blade's physical range, as well as increase the cutting power of the blades to the point of easily slicing through trees, rocks, and even metal

Ariko infuses chakra
Toward the end of his time at the Academy, Arikurin watches over Ariko attempting to master his Wind Release ability. After a few hours, he tells the two that they should continue their training tomorrow as it is getting late. The next day, Naruto and Sora continue using their kunai to destroy a tree. Arikurin is surprised that the two are able to create their current level of damage without using chakra blades, further demonstrating his sons strength. He tells Ariko to concentrate on his Sound Release. The next week, Ariko graduated becoming a Genin. Arikurin then gifts him trench knifes.
Ariko learns Curse Mandala
Ariko continues train under his father, A to master the ancient Fūma clan technique, the Curse Mandala. Despite multiple attempts, he struggles to control his chakra and maintain the pyramid-shaped chakra cage. Arikurin advises him to refine his technique rather than rely on raw power. Ariko eventually stabilizes the construct but fails to sustain it when attempting to compress an object inside. His father acknowledges his progress but emphasizes the need for patience and control.
Funato Arc[]

Years later Ariko participated in a joint mission to capture Araumi Funato, leading to the pirate's clan falling into disarray and allowing trades on the sea to resume safely. He is later invited to join the Five Great Countries' Joint Investigation Team.
Sinister Sounds - Bleak Insurgence and the Sixth's Wrath[]
Ariko saves his father
Arikurin and Oto-ANBU agents attempt to ambush an unknown Ōtsutsuki Clan opponent later found to be Keshin Enera. Arikurin is no match the the opponents fighting style: Rōkutōryū — the practice of an unorthodox manner of sword combat involving simultaneous usage of six swords. Arikurin's blade is destroyed. Without his blade, Arikurin, is soundly defeated. When Ariko received the alert, he rushed to Arikurin's last known location and was able to find him barely alive. When Arikurin's body is brought back to Otogakure, he was inspected by Deki Mezamashī. Arikurin's left arm gained significant damage. This required his body to be modified at a cellular level with nano sized Shinobi-Ware.

Arikō and Arikurin undercover
Arikurin and Ariko worked with the Land of Hot Water to uncover the truth behind the missing girls. Using the transformation technique, they posed as female traveling musicians. They learned that the rumoured hot spring was a ruse conceived by remnants of the near-forgotten Jashin cult to restore their former glory and power. Then Arikurin, along with Kakashi, Guy and Mirai, swiftly defeated the fanatics. When Ariko returns to Konoha, he is promoted to Jonin. Later, Arikurin wants to test his sons skill and they complete a formal sparring match.

Ariko trains with his father and discuss his recent promotion to Jonin. Later that night, Arikurin meets with Naruto regarding political matters. Shikamaru doesn't trust Orochimaru completely, but Naruto still thanks him for his analysis of Danzō's data, which was beneficial for Sasuke's investigation.
Chunin Exam Arc[]
Arikō summons (uncreated snake summon) to aid in the fight
Ariko, attends the finals for the Chūnin Exams in Konoha. Suddenly, Momoshiki and Kinshiki descend on the arena, to the spectators' confusion. Gaara recognises the two based on the similarities to the one who attacked him, prompting Kinshiki to launch an attack. The attack damages the arena, causing it to start collapsing, leading various shinobi to aid with protecting and evacuating the civilians. At the center of the stadium, Momoshiki explained their goal to gather Kaguya's scattered chakra and cultivate it into a new 'cinnabar panacea' in order to gain eternal youth and supernatural powers.

Ariko defeats Akuta
Along the way to Iwa, Ariko found multiple Konoha-nin completely immobilised. He sent word back to Otogakure via snake. He later teamed up with a masked Konohamaru and they ventured deeper into the village. They found that a certain area was heavily guarded by the Akuta, concluding that the enemy base must be near. His efforts eventually found a secret underground laboratory, shocked at the work that was being conducted. He sabotaged the base with explosives. Afterwards, they helped Konohamaru free the Fourth Tsuchikage, letting her go to save her village.
Time Slip Arc[]
Urashiki steals Ariko's chakra
While continuing his patrol, Ariko and his unit were attacked by Urashiki Ōtsutsuki. After he incapacitated the Konoha-nin and stole their chakra, he realised that he could use Mirai's communication equipment to his advantage. He then brainwashed her pretending to be him, all as a diversion so he could sneak into Konohagakure. Ultimately, she was found and freed from the genjutsu. Later, Ariko recovers Karasuki
Kawaki Arc[]
Jigen defeats Ariko
Kawaki's Kāma releases a mass of chakra, turning into a portal through which Jigen appears. Koji watches through his toad. Boruto's Kāma spreads further, and he and Mitsuki rush back to the Uzumaki house. Team 5 and 10 notice them. Koji is surprised by Jigen showing up in person, and questions the need for a retrieval mission if he could portal directly to Kawaki. Jigen notices his toad, and Koji determines Jigen was actually investigating him. Jigen nonchalantly states his purpose to collect Kawaki, and wishes Boruto was there as well. Naruto attacks, but is kicked aside by Jigen, who manifests rods to pin him down. Konohamaru and Ariko attempt to aid Naruto, despite his warnings to stand back. They're both pinned as well. Ariko later awakens in the hospital where he is greeted by both of his parents. After Ariko recovered some time later, he resumed active duty.

Nohkan Gaiden: Ten Directions[]
Arikurin is added to K.O.E's Bingo Book Database
Because the future is not a straight path, Ten Directions gives the user many alternate possibilities of what could be the future. Koji had foreseen that eventually K.O.E would become too powerful. Rapid technological advancement made it that K.O.E had no computer core. K.O.E had slowly pieces of its AI all over the world. It now existed as a distributed software network, spread out on thousands of computers, from dorm rooms to office buildings to cell phones and handheld gaming devices. Eventually, it deemed anything Otsutsuki related to be a threat to life on earth, and a target for elimination.
Ariko activates Karasuki
Remnants of Otogakure ANBU have started the resistance. Arikurin and his family are labeled Missing-Nin. Using a Time Machine, K.O.E first sends Kannon to hunt down Arikurin's younger self. However, Arikurin soon arrives in the past as well thanks to Karasuki's Dimension.
Later, Ariko activates Karasuki to return to the future but they are pursued by Kannon. As Ariko and Arikurin struggled to fend off Kannon, Arikurin's Jōgan activated. His seemed to have the ability to see paths to different timelines, leading to him being able to perceive all of Kannon's attacks.
