Mother Tree

Mother-Tree.

Banteki Savannah (蛮的サバナ, Banteki Savana, Literally meaning "Savage Savannah") is a legendary and sacred place where all the tigers and lions summoned by shinobi live. It is the home of various types of felines, both small or large, which seems to coexist in harmony even in separate areas. The counties of each feline are separated by the cardinal points indicated by the Mother-Tree (母樹, Hahagi), a huge and sacred tree revered by the felines. At the eastern end the highest authority is the Great Tiger Sage. Ginba and Araiha are part of a royal of the tigers, as they are called prince and princess, besides being sages and seem to have authority among other tigers.

Overview[]

Banteki Savannah Symbol

Banteki Savannah's Symbol.

The symbol of the savannah is the kanji "縞" (Shima), meaning "stripe".

As in other lands of summoned animals, it is necessary knowledge about the secret routes that a human can reach to the Banteki Savannah or it is necessary that some of the felines use the Reverse Summoning Technique to bring up the human with whom it has a summoning contract. There are rumors that the secret route which leads to the savannah is located somewhere in the Land of Grass.

Mushroom Rock

The Mushroom Rock.

It is unknown the name or gender of the supreme authorities of the other feline residents in the other three cardinal points indicated by the Mother Tree (although Ginba believes that the supreme authority of the cats is a female), however it is known that the ultimate authority of the tigers is the Great Tiger Sage, whose house is found inside a strange rock formation named Mushroom Rock (キノコ岩, Kinokoiwa).

Some of the inhabitants of Banteki Savannah can use senjutsu, to gather natural energy. There is a sacred fruit that takes a form similar to the cherries that produce a special juice that helps to absorb natural energy in a manner similar to the oil from the Mount Myōboku, however it has no full knowledge about the side effects caused by the fruit's juice on those who do not are able to control the energy absorbed, it is only known that these people start spitting hairballs. This fruit can only exist in the vicinity of the savannah and it gets rotten and turns into sand if taken outside.
