Barrier Release (結界師, Kekton) is a Barrier technique kekkei genkai that produces barriers. Known to have been employed by at least one member of the Kyoraku clan, this technique can be used in a variety of ways. The main use is to mark areas and create barriers using verbal or hand commands using the Seal of Confrontation and hand movement. The user can also shield themselves from harm or entrap an enemy. The commands are as follows:
- Hōi (方囲, Engulf): Designates a target for the Kekkai.
- Jōso (定礎, Cornerstone): Determines where to create the Kekkai.
- Ketsu (結, Bind): Creates and activates the Kekkai.
- Kai (解, Release): Dispels the Kekkai without injuring the target trapped inside.
- Metsu (滅, Destroy): Collapses a Kekkai, destroying what is trapped inside.

Advanced techniques[]
Zekkai (絶界, Absolute Boundary): A technique that creates a unique Kekkai which surrounds the user; it allows the user to either repel an attack or harm an enemy. It appears as a black aura that varies in form depending on the skill of the user.
Nekkai(波同, Same Wave): A technique that gives the user the ability to wrap himself in a barrier and then synchronize the barrier with other objects around him. This synchronization allows them to pass through other objects, similar to the kamui's phasing.
