This technique is the first technique Saphiro Kimza used after learning how to combine the elemental natures of fire and wind to create the explosive Blast Release. It was originally meant as a Fire Release version of the Rasengan.
First, he creates a small, but powerful wind impulse in his hand. He then shapes it into a perfect sphere and intensifies the wind. He then uses Blast Release chakra and superheats the sphere until it starts steaming. Then, he slams his hands into the opponent's body and lets the sphere's energy free. This creates a short, violent outward funnel of wind that tears into the ground in front of it, burns or incinerates any small object in its path or near it, and causes immense impact damage to the target as well as acute burning.
As Saphiro becomes more skilled with the Blast Release nature, his usage of the Palm Cannon becomes wider. For example, he was able to slam two wind spheres into the Nine member Tamao Ehu at once. He is also able to use the sphere to draw heat away from himself and keep warm at the same time, great for evading being tracked.
The Palm Cannon technique also has some risks to the user. When using the jutsu, the users hands are also burned by the superheated chakra, which could eventually end up as the tenketsu in the hands being damaged beyond repair and erasing the ability to use jutsu. Saphiro manages to remedy this by cupping his hands with wind chakra, cooling down the area around them.
