Blaze Release: Ame-no-Ohabari (炎遁・天の尾羽張, Enton: Ame-no-Ohabari, Literally meaning: Blaze Release: Heaven's Tail-feather) is a technique that simultaneously manifests and blends the black flames of Amaterasu with the azure flame of Reien, creating an all consuming flame to be wielded with devastating results. The composite fire, taking the form of the two seemingly opposing flames wrapping around one another, possesses qualities from both of its components seamlessly blended together, despite its appearance.

From the black flames of Amaterasu, this technique is apparently inextinguishable through normal means and is even able to smother both normal fire and other sources of Amaterasu. Comparatively, from the azure flames of Reien this technique is able to selectively burn targets based on the user's will and is especially effective at consuming spiritual energy and chakra. Furthermore, the rate of chakra burning scales similarly to that see with Reien normally, but at a much quicker rate. The accelerated intensity while burning a target is apparent against physical targets as well, unlike Amaterasu which has been noted to burn slowly at times. As such, the flames only will only continue to burn for a single day, but destroy targets that much quicker. Additionally, the flames of Ama-no-Ohabari can generate such a degree of heat that they distort the flow natural energy in their surroundings. By doing so it is possible for these flames to disrupt techniques augmented with or directly utilizing natural energy.

Due to the incredibly complex and potent nature of these composite flames, Kazuhide usually manifests them in concise and concentrated amounts. While this allows him to manage the notable chakra expenditure much more effectively, it also allows him to keep the incredible destructive potential of the technique in check.
