This is the Ninja Ranks page. There are five basic ranks and one special one.

• Academy Student - Before a person becomes a ninja, he must learn the basics at Ninja Academy.
• Genin - The lowest ninja rank and the most difference from its previous rank.
• Chūnin - The mid-level ninja. Taking the Chunin Exams is required.
• Tokubetsu Jōnin - A jōnin concentrating on one specific ninja area. Most Anbu start at this rank.
• Jōnin - The highest rank to achieve.
• Kage - the title given to leaders of the shinobi nations. Some other villages (ex. Hoshigakure and Yamigakure) also have this rank.
