The user coats their weapon of choice in water,with a quick slash unleashes a high-pressured wave of water towards their opponent.The wave of water is so powerful it is able to cut through several targets,trees and mountains.It was also hinted that it can cut through the very roots of the God Tree.
The Chinoike Style: Dance of the Moon Halo can even absorb the chakra of an opponents technique allowing the wave of water to ascend to even greater lengths.
In other cases,once said target has been hit with the wave of water. The user of a Ketsuryūgan can control the flow of water and allow it to enter into the wound. When this is done,the user can simply create a number of internal damage to their opponent such as , birth thorns made up of water or blood that sprout out from the targets body,or simply drown their opponents body internally made up of water. Ultimately,this technique is used for killing or incapacitating targets in a quick succession. This technique also has a couple of variants as well.

By the user sending a flow of water into their weapon,by pointing their weapon forward they are able to release a wave of water that forms up as a barrier. Moving objects,living things and even attacks will ultimately be slowed down. Ones proficiency in this will allow the user to use its Tranquility characteristic to a point that anything entering the barrier of water will be completely immobilized, effectively destroying anything that comes into contact.
