This technique is a cursed seal applied to the tongue of individuals and takes the shape of three solid lines and two broken lines from the back of the tongue to the tip. This cursed seal ensures that no information on the caster and their endeavors will not fall into the wrong hands, for those marked and try to reveal anything will become paralyzed. If the bearer's mind gets probed for information, the seal will inflict enough physical pain to kill them before information could be extracted. If the caster of the technique dies, the cursed seal will disappear.
Danzō Shimura placed these cursed seals on all members of his Anbu subgroup to protect Konohagakure and his secrets.
Trivia[]
- This seal is possibly a hexagram. It could either be the hexagram ䷞ (咸, Japanese: “kan,” Chinese: “xián”), which can be interpreted as “influence,” or it could be the hexagram ䷠ (遯, Japanese: “ton,” Chinese: “dùn”), which can be interpreted as “concealment”.
