The user converts the chakra absorbed with Dark Release: Inhaling Maw into light blue flames, turning it back on his enemies with amplified strength to blow them away. The flames are expelled through the lower square of the mark on the user's left hand.
Ryō Shirubā's version[]
After absorbing chakra from slicing his opponents with the kusarigama, the seal inscribed onto the butt of it will begin to glow. Absorbed into Ryō, he will then raise his free hand and fire a concentrated blue flame-like blast. In unison with his Dark Release: Kettle Technique, he can entrap his opponent within a jar-shaped canister of blue flame.
Mamaru version[]
Do to Mamaru's lack of a mark, the light blue flames are expelled from either palm. However he is also seen expelling the flames though his mouth as well.
Trivia[]
- The technique's name is a pun, similar to certain techniques of Kumogakure-ninjas, in which it has an English name with a given kanji that somewhat match the pronunciation.
- The light blue flames seen in this technique are likely a reference to the "Will-o-Wisp," as the "Dark" (冥, kurai) in "Dark Release" (冥遁, Meiton) means "gloomy; ghostly; night; underworld".
