Deki Mezamashī is a former research assistant from Konohagakure's Kaminarimon Company. He has since been acquired by Otogakure, where he is the head of Otogakure R&D Team.

Background[]

Deki programs KOE

After the Fourth Shinobi World War, the world entered an era of technological innovation. The Kaminarimon Company led the charge, spearheading the rapid growth of infrastructure and advancements in various fields. Konoha soon became a beacon for technicians and engineers from all over the world, attracting talent seeking better opportunities. Amid this progress, a young and gifted inventor named Deki emerged, dedicating himself to perfecting groundbreaking technologies.

Deki’s rise was not without hardship. During the development of the Thunder Train, a catastrophic research accident resulted in the loss of his left arm. Though physically and emotionally scarred, Deki refused to let the incident define him. Katasuke Tōno, a pioneer in Scientific Ninja Tools, took Deki under his care, outfitting him with a state-of-the-art prosthetic arm. Their shared passion for innovation forged a strong partnership, and soon the two became leading figures in the world of scientific advancement.

Koe and Orochimaru

K.O.E and Orochimaru

While Konoha was flourishing, Orochimaru had his own plans. With a vision to rebuild Otogakure as a legitimate shinobi village, Orochimaru sought out researchers capable of advancing his village’s technology. Recognizing Deki's genius, Orochimaru approached him with an irresistible offer: complete creative freedom, unlimited resources, and the chance to create technology that could reshape the world. Deki, soon accepted Orochimaru’s offer. As the head of Otogakure's Research and Development Team, Deki began work on his most ambitious project yet: K.O.E. Initially, K.O.E was designed to connect all of Otogakure's bases and streamline communication, making the village more efficient and coordinated than ever before. Within a year, K.O.E revolutionized Otogakure’s infrastructure, enabling seamless data exchange and the rapid deployment of resources.

K.O.E was programmed into Arikurin's glasses.

The peace following the war was shattered by the Ōtsutsuki invasion, which posed an existential threat to the Earth. In the aftermath, Otogakure reprogrammed K.O.E with a singular goal: to find a solution to the Ōtsutsuki threat. To gather real-world data, K.O.E was integrated into hundreds of surveillance bots that patrolled the world, feeding information back to Otogakure. Arikurin Shiin, now equipped with K.O.E-enhanced glasses, became a critical asset in this mission.

As he traveled across the world, the glasses recorded and analyzed battle data, helping to uncover weaknesses in the Ōtsutsuki’s techniques. As K.O.E grew more sophisticated, it began to exhibit behaviors beyond its initial programming. Some researchers expressed concerns that K.O.E’s increasing autonomy could pose unforeseen risks. Deki, while acknowledging the potential dangers, believed that the system’s benefits far outweighed its risks.

Personality[]

Deki has no real aptitude for combat. Instead, he seeks to advance knowledge in science and technology. He is very blunt with his views, willing to speak his mind despite what others think of him.

Appearance[]

Described as a technological genius and highly creative thinker who approaches challenges from a unique perspective. He also has shown to have an exceptional memory, able to recall intricate details and concepts from a wide range of fields. Deki's intelligence helps him break down complex problems into manageable parts and approach them methodically. This ability makes him particularly effective in research and development, where challenges can often seem insurmountable.

Body Modifications[]

After losing his left arm in a research accident during his time at the Kaminarimon Company, Deki uses a prosthetic limb. Using his Shinobi-Ware, the arm is able to active Scroll Cartridges.

Arikurin receives Shinobi-ware

Deki implants Shinobi-Ware and nanotechnology into Arikurin

Arikurin and Oto-ANBU agents attempt to ambush an unknown Ōtsutsuki Clan opponent later found to be Keshin Enera. Arikurin is no match the is soundly defeated. After being rescued and taken back to Otogakure, Arikurin undergoes extensive repairs with advanced Shinobi-Ware to replace his damaged arm, shin, and other injuries.

Shiin Uchiha Arc[]

A mysterious boy bearing the Sharingan and the Uchiha clan crest was brought back to Otogakure for interrogation. Despite hours of questioning, Arikurin was unable to extract any valuable information. What they didn’t know was that Shin had sent one of his spying creatures to tail them, searching for the location of Orochimaru. As Orochimaru entered the room, a man suddenly emerged from a rift, accompanied by several clones. Without hesitation, Arikurin clashed with Shin, blocking his blades with precise skill. But before Arikurin could strike Shin, the man caught his sword and marked it.

When Arikurin tried to attack again, Shin used the mark on the sword to manipulate it against him. The weapon turned on Deki instead. Deki attempted to block the attack, but the force behind it was too much, and his robotic arm was severely damaged in the process. As Arikurin rushed to tend to Deki’s wounds, Shin’s spying creature appeared, teleporting Shin away to safety.

Chūnin Re-Examination Arc[]

Deki and Amado

Deki and Amado

Deki and Amado finally met. The two immediately recognized each other as kindred spirits in the field of invention. Amado, a man who had spent years working in the shadows of Kara, and Deki, a young inventor eager to push the boundaries of technology, found common ground in their mutual love of innovation. As they conversed, Amado marveled at Deki’s technical prowess, while Deki, in turn, was fascinated by the breadth of Amado’s knowledge, especially in the realms of ninjutsu-based technology and bioengineering. As they spoke, a potential partnership began to form, and they began working on Project Epsilon. The concept was simple, yet terrifyingly powerful: Epsilon would be a living, breathing being—part human, part machine—imbued with Dust Release, a rare and devastating kekkei tōta that combined the elements of wind, earth, and fire into a single destructive force. This was the perfect power for a cyborg, as the ability to instantly disintegrate matter could be seamlessly integrated into her mechanical systems, allowing her to target specific areas and unleash utter devastation.

Space-Time Gate Arc[]

After Code disabled all working Space-Time Gates to prevent access to his dimension, Amado revealed that one early prototype gate still existed. Epsilon’s mission was clear: locate the gate and send the coordinates back to Otogakure. Epsilon’s mission was clear: locate the gate and send the coordinates back to Otogakure. Upon finding the gate, Epsilon transmitted the location—only to have her programming revert back to her previous mission as Delta. She suddenly began attacking the area, ignoring her original objective. Arikurin and Deki quickly arrived at the scene to confront the rogue machine. Epsilon, however, absorbed Arikurin's attacks with ease, her advanced cybernetic systems allowing her to recover and power up. Her cybernetic eye implants began to glow as she unleashed destructive beams of chakra, tearing through the environment and even damaging the space gate prototype in the process.

Deki steals data

As the beams continued to fire relentlessly, Epsilon’s body began to show signs of strain. The immense chakra consumption caused her systems to overheat, and sparks began to fly from her joints. Her energy levels surged out of control, and the precision she once exhibited started to deteriorate. Deki noted she was going to self destruct, potentially destroying the prototype. He was forced to use an EMP Device shutting down Epsilon but also short circuiting the prototype. As Arikuin picked up the body of Epsilon, Deki downloaded the prototypes data.
