Initially, Kemuri creates a large amount of thick smoke chakra that can cover an area. Once the stage has been set, she begins her illusion, creating a tale that is tailored to the target, one that penetrates the walls they have created in their mind. This technique plays upon the subtlety of the senses, as the user creates shapes that move within the smoke, appearing then disappearing, only to come closer to the target before blending in with the smoke once more. Put simply, she wreaks havoc on the opponents, using the smoke as a medium to recreate their fears, the plight of loved ones, conjuring up the beings from the very smoke she uses. Thus the target becomes a portion of the tale that she weaves. The longer the user remains within the genjutsu, the more strained their physiological health becomes. It becomes a cycle, while the available smoke becomes available resource for follow up techniques.
