Utilizing his special smoke bombs that contains extracts of the blue hallucinogenic flower as a medium, Shintai can simply put his target(s) under this subtle but effective genjutsu. After catching a whiff of the chakra-laced hallucinogen, the victim is unable to detect Shintai with all of their senses, including their ability to detect chakra, while they are slowly filled with memories of guilt and regret. As more time passes, one is pushed farther and farther into a state filled with self-pity, anger and regret, which disables them emotionally as a shinobi. This combined with the psychological trick of them believing that Shintai is truly invisible puts a toll on their mind and often leads to them giving up. Shintai is known for using this as an ANBU while preparing to capture a high-value target, as other lethal methods could lead to failure of the mission.
Even after moving from the effective range of the smoke created by the smoke bombs, the victims can still be under the influence of this genjutsu for a few minutes.
