Demonic Illusion: Undeniable Sensation (魔幻・強心地, Magen: Tsuyo Kokochi) is a powerful genjutsu developed by a Kurama Clan member who was affiliated to the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force.

Overview[]

The technique was developed by an unknown member of the Kurama Clan during the First Great Shinobi War as a method obtain information from captured opposition through torture. By influencing the target's cerebral nervous system, the user can manipulate the target's pain receptors thus amplifying or minimizing the amount of pain someone feels. Through use of this technique, a simple pinch can feel like an amputation, a punch in the gut can feel like organs exploding, actual damage can feel like death. During the era of the Third Hokage, there were numerous proposals to make this technique Kinjutsu. However, after months of discourse, it was decided that this technique was considered the more humane option due to the fact permanent damage to the target can be minimized.

On the opposing side of the same coin, the user could minimize the target's reception of pain to allow them to endure longer or increase durability. As genjutsu specialist are designated to long-distance combat or supplementary roles, this technique allows for the caster to stay active in the battle without putting themselves in too much risk.

Improvement[]

Following the Fourth Shinobi World War, Asuna Kurama mastered this technique and through her Kekkei Genkai, has been able to utilize it beyond its original specifications. While initially utilized for out of battle experiences, Asuna has managed to incorporate the technique into her Gentaijutsu fighting style; allowing her to deal pain through little to no contact.
