Characters[]

Akatsuki[]

NEED TO BE MADE
  • Sasori of the Red Sand
    • More or less the same as the canon entity with the sole major difference being that he did not turn himself into a human puppet due to influence from his wife and instead worked to further refine his puppetry skills; this did not stop Sasori from striving to continue his dream of refining the perfect human puppet, a wish he unfortunately could not complete before passing away, however, his son would finish where Sasori left off and created Marie Kuroi, the ultimate human puppet
  • Kanyū the Fairy Doctor
    • A citizen of Ceramic Village introduced in the Akatsuki Hiden: Evil Flowers in Full Bloom light novel; her story diverges from canon when she chooses to join Akatsuki after falling in love with Sasori and marrying him later down the line. She would alongside her husband refine the art of human puppetization but would unfortunately pass away before witnessing the birth of the ultimate human puppet
  • Shiranui Hayakawa
    • A disgraced member of the Hayakawa Clan who was cut off from the family fortune after recklessly squandering their funds to keep up her overly lavish lifestyle. Instead of trying to rectify the situation she would go on to steal the Sword of the Thunder God, a family heirloom, murdering a number of her clansmen before fleeing Takigakure to sell off the weapon. Soon after leaving the prospect of finding buyers proved to be too much work for her (she didn't try) so she'd instead take over a town which she'd use to upkeep her lifestyle, using her family heirloom to vaporise any opposition. Her strength would attract the Akatsuki who'd offer her a position, pairing her up with Kisame Hoshigake who she'd develop a one-sided relationship with declaring him as her husband much to his amusement, finding her delusion to be rather entertaining.
NEED TO BE EXPANDED
  • Getsujōkotsu
    • A missing-nin from Kirigakure, a surviving clansman of the Kaguya Clan and the Hōzuki Clan through his mother. Around the age of 10 the failed coup would happen, and him and his mother would be rescued. He'd spend a year living in Kirigakure, living rather well off due to his mother's lineage. He'd graduate the academy at age 11 and be recruited into the Anbu immediately, his penchant for killing being recognised from the moment of his rescue. He'd become entangled in Zabuza Momochi's failed coup around this time, forcing him to flee alongside him. He'd seal his mother away during this time fearing that she'd be held responsible for his treachery, fearing the legacy of the "Bloody Mist". By age 12 he'd take up work with various terrorist organisations to build enough wealth to overthrow his home country's government, hoping to establish a shinobi first government. Sometime around his 15th birthday, he'd rescue a prostitute by the name of Shiroya after being taken to a pleasure house by a contractor. He'd developed a distaste for lecherous men in his childhood due to the circumstances surrounding his own birth so he had Shiroya tag along with him so she wouldn't need to ever subjugate herself to such as he'd "be around until she grew a spine and if she never did, it was alright as he'd always be there to lend her hers". After having travelled together for months, they'd become close enough to develop a relationship. Around the age of 17 he'd be approached by Kisame Hoshigake and offered a spot in the Akatsuki.
  • Shiroya Chinoike
    • A member of the Chinoike clan exiled into the Valley of Hell of the Land of Hot Water, she—at the young age of twelve—was sold off to Yugakure for her striking beauty which her buyer was intending to put to use to earn money; upon being trained in her duties, she was sent out on her first job as the partner of her buyer's physically revolting best friend but before she could arrive at their house, it was destroyed by Getsujōkotsu who would immediately fall in love with her and extend to her an invitation to join Akatsuki, whereupon she joins the organization as his partner and lover

Shippū-dan[]

NEED TO BE EXPANDED
  • Daigo Masamichi
    • A missing-nin from Konohagakure who went rogue after a jealous teammate murdered his pet dog and best friend Mokomoko. After wandering around for months after his defection he would cross paths with Reyna Yoimura from a distance but lost sight of the woman after tailing her for hours. He would search for her for months before coming across Mirusaki Aoda and rescuing her. The two would later come across Reyna and Daigo would join Shippū-dan to find purpose through her and Mirusaki would als join out of admiration for the latter. His reason for joining Shippu-dan was always about finding new meaning after Mokomoko died and Reyna just acted as a catalyst for that idea after experiencing emotion for the first time since Moko died; fear, having felt uttery intimidated by Reyna even from a distance. (he felt empty after losing his dog so that was the first time in a while he felt any emotion although he doesn't recognise that he didn't lose it since Mirusaki was always there as a little sister). After Reyna "falters" in his eyes, he decides to just take the Akatsuki's offer, prior to Team 7 and Team 17 arrival he had been approached by Akatsuki associates on information about the Nine Tails Jinchūriki due to his past affiliations to Konoha but refused (Shippū-dan's potentially stepping in deterred them from pressing further) and was given a reverse summoning contract should he change his mind (whether this happens before or after is still undecided on how he'd communicate with them probs through the reverse summoning, if we're still going with that betrayal plot point). After he's struck down be a double Chidori from Emiri and Sasuke and witnessing them have a moment, albeit on top of defeated, and become closer, he's not entirely knocked out and overhears their convo which starts to soften his heart and makes him contemplate what his bond with Reyna and Mirusaki really was since he found pride in working under her as a subordinate and pride in being a sibling-like figure to Mirusaki. Probs just have him crawl towards where the other fight is taking place to warn Reyna after sensing Mirusaki was defeated, he overhears everything between her and Jukan. Takes Reyna reconsidering Shippu-dan's stance to heart and doesn't interfere at all, trusting she'll take care of Mirusaki and just leaves the village, trusting them to handle the mess with the Akatsuki, along with the fact that with the presence of Jukan he no longer thought himself useful to Reyna and by proxy Shippū-dan. Probs have him be found by a wild wolf outside Ishi and helped to health and just hide out in the woods before Reyna figures there's no way he could've died, finding it suspicious how the Akatsuki got to the village so quickly.
  • Mokomoko
    • Daigo's deceased dog. He was gifted to the boy when he turned and the two were inseparable since, until Mokomoko was killed by a teammate jealous of Daigo's talents.

Iwagakure[]

  • Suishō
    • A kunoichi elected as the Fifth Tsuchikage after the death of the Fourth Tsuchikage during Kara's failed coup. She is a relative of the Earth Daimyō and is so well known for her genjutsu prowess that her DNA was used as a genetic template for the creation of the Fabrication, Kirara, with the only other two templates being the Third Tsuchikage and Deidara, both of whom are regarded as monsters.

Story Arcs[]

Versus Momoshiki Arc
Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc
  • Katasuke Tōno crafts a Chakra Tessen for Shikadai Nara at his request as he did not want to ask his mother for her weapon but would still like a medium to use Wind Release through with the tessen being finished in time for Shikadai's appointment as captain of the Mitsuki Retrieval Team; this is partially due to seeing Boruto Uzumaki making good use of the Chakra Blade and even defeating him with it in the Chūnin Exams a week prior
  • The Fabrications are generally four to six times stronger than their canon counterparts as the Iwa Doctor has gotten his hands on cell data of Kimutsugi Senju, progenitor of the Dust Release; this includes greater combat capabilities, greater chakra reserves, and greater lifespan with none of the Fabrications dying from their bodies breaking down
  • Iwa Doctor also uses the Redaku Reincarnation Ninjutsu to resurrect the Second Tsuchikage and the Third Tsuchikage, suppressing their personalities and ordering them to assist the Fabrications in their coup; as a member of Kara, they have more information on this technique rather than the perfected version of the Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation used by Orochimaru and Kabuto Yakushi
  • Fourth Tsuchikage Kurotsuchi is assassinated by the Fabrications as part of their coup and the office of Tsuchikage is left empty for weeks following the conclusion of the Iwagakure Civil War with Suishō is elected the new Fifth Tsuchikage after that period of political turmoil
Time Slip Arc
  • By employing Kuninotokotachi, Urashiki Ōtsutsuki escapes backwards in time after seemingly losing to Boruto Uzumaki, Keika Uzumaki, and Shinki but does not realize that Keika's Kāma had already matured enough that she could use Kunitokotachi herself; alongside her brother and Hirume Ōtsutsuki—who the siblings recruit after making preparations, Keika pursues Urashiki
  • Urashiki appears in the forest outside of Konohagakure in Part I, sometime after the search for Tsunade and before Sasuke Uchiha's kidnapping with Keika and the others following but landing within the village proper
  • The siblings interact with the villagers and eventually come across their teenage mother as well as the younger versions of all of the adults in their lives; the visitors from the future dodge any incriminating questions and clear themselves of any suspicion before leaving the village (ties in to a flashback in Chapter #227 where Sasuke reminisces about "three strange children")
  • The siblings track Urashiki down to the Fire-Rivers border and engage him in battle there; Urashiki once again escapes their grasp, warping further backwards in time
  • The siblings find Urashiki just before the First Shinobi World War erupts with Urashiki disguising himself as a mercenary allied to Iwagakure; the siblings ally themselves with Konohagakure
  • Urashiki meets the siblings on the battlefield, fighting across the deserts of the Land of Wind again until they happen upon Hashirama Senju's battle with Eishun; just when Hashirama and Eishun both fall, Urashiki takes a fatal blow himself and escapes backwards in time again
  • As he was gravely wounded, Urashiki could not jump backwards in time too far and ends up in the closing stages of the Warring States Period where he places himself under Tajima Uchiha's protection; he would then subsequently encounter the teenage Madara Uchiha as well as the sealed away Hikari Uchiha, the latter of whom Urashiki plans to weaponize himself upon hearing her clan's treatment of her through the grape vine
  • The siblings arrive in the era themselves, separately interacting with the teenage Hashirama and Madara (ties to the conversation the two had in the closing stages of the Fourth Shinobi World War following Madara's defeat about their "three strange children") before learning of Urashiki's whereabouts and his meddling with Hikari
  • The siblings successfully rescue Hikari from Urashiki's clutches and as she gets to know Boruto, the kindness shown to her by him and his sisters warm her stagnant heart, resulting in Hikari developing romantic attraction for Boruto; with Hikari's assistance, Boruto, Keika, and Hirume finally slay Urashiki
  • Hikari expresses her desire to return to their time but is rebuffed; the three are eventually convinced by Hikari's determination, expressing their own opinions of Hikari's vile situation and agreed that nothing would be lost if Hikari came with them although the siblings received quite the scolding once they returned as they had disappeared for three weeks
