The Drakeforge Legion (ドレイクフォージ軍団, Doreikufōji gundan) is the militant arm of Zhao’s influence, a highly organized and fearsome cult dedicated to the Echoed Star of Wishes. They embody the duality of Zhao’s nature: the allure of granting desires and the devastation that often comes with unbridled ambition. Operating as both a spiritual force and a militaristic power, the Drakeforge Legion wields advanced Scientific Ninja Tools and ritualistic weapons tied to their cult culture
The Drakeforge are a key faction within the Inner Triad, specializing in the development and supply of advanced weaponry and the handling of exotic specimens. These specimens, whether flora or fauna, are unique mutations caused by exposure to the mysterious and volatile Echoflux Radiation. Their expertise lies not only in crafting innovative tools of warfare but also in studying and weaponizing the effects of the Echoflux, making them a critical and formidable player within the Inner Triad’s operations.
Ranks[]
The Drakeforge Legion, as the militant cult of Zhao, the Patron Drake King of Wishes, operates with a rigid and disciplined hierarchical structure. Each rank is infused with both militaristic and mystical significance, reflecting their devotion to Zhao and their mission to wield his influence in the mortal and divine realms.
- Supreme Inferno Lord: Zhao himself holds this title, representing his absolute authority over the Legion.
- Warden of Eternal Flame: The mortal leader and highest-ranking officer beneath Zhao. This figure serves as Zhao's chosen enforcer and executor of his will.
- Infernal Scions: Elite champions personally blessed by Zhao with fragments of his divine power. They act as his emissaries and commanders of the most critical missions.
- Forgeblaze Commanders: High-ranking officers responsible for commanding entire divisions of the Legion.
- Flamebearers: Mystics and priests who maintain the egion's spiritual connection to Zhao. They are also responsible for ritualistic practices and interpreting Zhao's will.
- Pyre-forged Knights: The elite warrior class of the Legion, trained to fight with both physical might and mystical abilities.
- Infernos Captains: Mid-ranking officers who oversee small units of soldiers. They are the backbone of the Legion's battlefield strategy.
- Drakeforge Sentinels: The standard rank-and-file soldiers of the Legion. They are trained in both conventional combat and ritualistic practices.
- Ashbound Acolytes: New recruits and initiates undergoing training to join the Legion.
- Ember Servants: Non-combatant members who provide logistical and spiritual support. Often made up of defectors, converts, or those seeking penance.
Location[]
The Scorched Expanse: The Ember Citadel is hidden within the Kalahari Basin, a harsh desert region whose barren landscape was transformed by the Legion into a land of molten rivers, scorched earth, and glowing obsidian spires.
• The surrounding desert is dotted with lava springs and geysers, the result of the Legion tapping into the Earth’s core and infusing the land with Echoflux Radiation fueled from a tear in reality, a wellspring of this energy as their main source.
• Natural barriers, such as shifting sand dunes and searing heat, make approaching the Citadel nearly impossible without Legion assistance.
The Veiled Horizon: A mystical phenomenon cloaks the Citadel, similar to the Echoed Horizon of the Drakeforge Bastion. This shimmering barrier distorts visibility, making the fortress appear as a mirage to those who attempt to locate it.
The Ember Citadel’s Structure[]
The Furnace Throne[]
At the heart of the Citadel is the Furnace Throne, a grand hall built from molten obsidian and adorned with glowing sigils of ambition and desire. The Supreme Wishmaster commands the Legion from this chamber, where decisions are made and Zhao’s will is enacted. The Throne also contains a smaller Infernal Forge, connected to the original in the Drakeforge Bastion, allowing the creation of weapons and Echo Relics on land.
The Burning Labyrinth[]
Beneath the Citadel lies an intricate network of tunnels and chambers known as the Burning Labyrinth. This underground maze serves as a prison for enemies of the Legion, a training ground for recruits, and a vault for powerful Echo-infused artifacts. The labyrinth is ever-shifting, maintained by Echo energy, ensuring only those initiated in the Legion can navigate its depths.
The Obsidian Spires[]
Towering structures that surround the Citadel, these spires act as sentinels and conduits for Echo-Force. They channel power from the Earth’s core and amplify it across the region. The spires also function as defensive weapons, capable of releasing waves of fire and Echo energy to repel attackers.
The Ashen Arsenal[]
The Citadel’s armory, where Echo weapons, constructs, and war machines are stored and maintained. The Arsenal is heavily guarded and remains one of the most secure locations in the Citadel.
The Blazing Courtyard[]
An open arena where Legion members undergo combat trials, including the Crucible of Worth. This courtyard is the site of public executions, promotions, and ceremonies, serving as a constant reminder of the Legion’s might.
The Molten Gate[]
The main entrance to the Citadel, forged from Echo-infused steel and reinforced with living magma. The gate is inscribed with Zhao’s sigil, glowing faintly with Echo-Force, and can only be opened by high-ranking Legion members.
