Arctic Sage Mode (北極狐仙人モード, Tsudzurao Sennin Mōdo) is a enhanced empowered state that can be entered by blending natural energy with one's chakra, creating senjutsu chakra. arctic sage mode is a unique technique used by fox's from Hyōkaidō and shinobi's from Yukishiogakure and it's taught by the Great Fox Sage within the frozen fortress.
Training[]
Within Méihuā there's many sacred places across the known regions that teaches sage mode like Hyōkaidō, Black Dragon Cove, Majonomori Forest, Island of Bakeneko Tribe, Bewitching Silk Forest, Silk Forest of Submission has their own version of sage mode and abilities depending on the place they learn it from. Arctic Sage Mode can only be taught underneath the frozen fortress where the natural energy (自然エネルギー, Shizen enerugī, English TV: Nature Energy) is at its most potent, there the teacher would train one or more practitioners in absorbing this power but this type of energy must supported and carefully balanced with their own chakra since it's denser than regular natural energy. The users that try to obtain nature energy must possess "extreme chakra levels" to invoke it but if they absorb to much chakra their body would transform into a baby kitsuneko, if they absorb to little of nature energy the technique will fail.
Other methods in obtaining sage mode to spend weeks inside the Great Fox Sage's bellow and survive the uninhabitable condition, there the practitioner would gather nature energy from it's body and synchronize it within their body but due to them being inside the fox's belly it's blood acts as a counter to it's Foxification process, this kind of training would last hours before being let out to try again eventually mastering and perfecting control over Senjutsu.
Advantage[]
- The user's taijutsu and genjutsu becomes greatly enhanced with Senjutsu.
- The user can manipulate natural energy and breath life into elemental material.
- Those who have mastered the Sage Techniques of Hyōkaidō have shown the ability to turn spiritual lantern demon into extension of their body and will to increase their perception and sensory power.
- Their physical strength and durability is greatly enhanced.
Disadvantage[]
- The user cannot access this ability after they ran out of sage chakra, the minimum time they must recharge is fifteen seconds before entering that mode again.
- The user must remain still to absorb nature energy to enter arctic sage mode.
- This technique can cause the user immense pain and frostbites on their body if they push beyond the limit they can use this mode once their time limit is up.
Bypassing the Disadvantages[]
- The Sage Art: Dog Fox Technique. If the user is unable to properly absorb this senjutsu they can two fox sages on both sides to aid in gathering the chakra for the user allowing them to enter this mode.
- The user can continually practises the use of arctic sage mode to shorten the their time limit.
- Only the Great Fox Sage has the ability to passively absorb natural energy, thus allowing him to continuously collect the energy constantly without having any negative effects.
Forms[]
Users that can properly balance their own chakra with natural energy will experience unique animalistic transformations to their body. Gaining darken blue lips, thin pigmentation around the eyes and blue fox pupils showing they entered arctic sage mode, it's bass form differ from other sage modes learned around Méihuā.
- Soyeon - The Great Fox Sage displays no particular features when he enters arctic sage mode since his body is constantly flowing with natural energy.
- Amakaze Tsuyayaka - she is unable to properly enter arctic sage mode resulting in her gaining some fox-like traits: her hair grows longer slightly flows like wind is blowing through it, grows fang and claws, her nose gaining a black pigmentation around the snout and intense blue fox eyes and heightened capabilities.
- Juryou - a kitsuneko commander possessed the capability to enter this mode perfectly gaining only blue lips.
- Yaban Anjerika - her body was able to properly absorb natural energy after months of training but due to her training in Hyōkaidō, whenever she enters arctic sage mode, her lips gain a dodger blue color and around the eyes, her front fangs and bottom fangs poke out from her mouth also grows claws.
- Ran Anjerika - A novelty in the arts of Sage Techniques was able to enter arctic sage mode and properly wield it's power, what able to passively absorb chakra without the help of her mother or the Great Fox Sage. Her pigmentation takes the shape of a buddhist mark on the forehead, eyeliner like pigmentation around the eyes, bottom fangs extend and poke out from her mouth also grows claws.
Sage Transformation[]
Sage Transformation (仙人化, Senninka) a unique form after attaining Sage Mode, only the members of each fox tribe displays different forms of this power but this power can be extended to other members that aren't fully fox.
- Soyeon's skin tone darkens to copper brown and his sclerae turn yellow with his eyes turning orange. He receives massive boost in overall ability physical and spiritual power, his voice becomes smooth like silk. His transformation can undergo a second form what many predecessors call it Great White Fox (大白狐, Dai byakko) that has the mass potential in rivalling the spider heiress.
- Yaban is the only shinobi who was able to undergo sage transformation gaining a chocolate brown aubergine chakra shroud that forms into ethereal fox heads around her body to aid in long range attacks. Her ears grow longer, two small horns juts from her forehead and she gains orange markings around the eyes and lips.
