Elder Centipede (センチピード長老, Centipede Elder) also known as Naruto the undying (NARUTO-ナルト-不死の, Naruto - naruto - fushi no), is a missing-nin from Konohagakure's Uzumaki clan and the former jinchūriki of the Nine-tail fox. He was left for dead following a failed mission, and rescued by a traveling female doctor named Emma.
Background[]
Elder Centipede was born in Konohagakure, and formerly known as Naruto Uzumaki and the former jinchūriki of the Nine-tails. He was abandoned during a mission, in the Land of Earth. Naruto had been abused and mistreated by the village due to his jinchūriki status. He later was found by Emma and nursed back to help, she used a Demonic infested centipede to heal him. The centipede took control of his body and forced the Nine-Tails to reform after kicking the Tailed beast out of Naruto's body. He later starts training as a Ikkō-ikki, and adopting the teachings of Jōdo Shinshū.
Personality[]
Elder Centipede used to be boisterous, exuberant, and unorthodox, and he was naïve and slow to understand principles or situations. Due to the influence of the Demonic Centipede, and years of isolation and hatred inflicted on him by Konohagakure he has become cold, heartless, and uncaring. He has become extremely zealous and isn't above killing somebody who insults his religion and faith. He is also cold and ruthless in training his adoptive sister/student Huinmeoli. He also cares little for Konohagakure, so much so he initially refused a hiring by Itachi to protect Sasuke during the Chūnin Selection Exams/Konoha Crush, he only did so due to Itachi giving him money he and Kisame gained from a bounty.
Elder Centipede secretly cared for his adoptive mother Emma, after founding out the truth of his originally parentage he renounced his father Minato Namikaze. During combat Elder Centipede displays a ruthless, cold demeanor. He often displays calm and a emotionless mask to make it hard for opponents to read him. Upon running back into Team 7 he showed little concern and was meanspirited towards them insulting them especially his replacement Sai. He is also cunning and adaptive to any environment capable of planning complex battle strategies and even changing tactics mid battle. He also is skilled in misdirection arts and setting up traps.

After gaining the Demonic Centipede, Naruto covers up his body in the traditional armor and garbs of the Ikkō-ikki warrior monks. His eyes have become a milky cloudy white, however he apparently can still see. He is also highly tall at 180 cm (approximately 5 feet and 11 inches). Without his hood, his skin has taken a pale decaying appearance mostly due to months of never ending combat as being semi-immortal he can take heavier wounds. His body is covered by scars, and decaying flesh as well as stitches done by his adoptive mother.
Abilities[]
Elder Centipede self-taught himself justu and ninjutsu techniques, but he mostly trains in Bukijutsu he is highly skilled in taijutsu and various weapons forms and posses. He is also highly skilled in Taijustu and is able to take on multiple opponent's at once without any issue. Due to the Demonic Centipede he displays superhuman levels of strength, agility, endurance, dexterity, speed. He also doesn't need to sleep and eat unlike Huinmeoli who does need to eat and sleep to maintain her body.
Elder Centipede prefers close range weapons particular his Katana but is also skilled in long range weapons such as Yari, Kagi Yari, Omi Yari, Su Yari, Hadome, and Kamayari, he is also skilled in the use of Tetsubishi, Naginta, and Tonfa.
Chakra and Physical Prowess[]
Elder Centipede taught himself how to use Chakra, and chakra based abilities though he prefers non-chakra based abilities and attacks. Preferring to use Chakra as a last resort and a means of escape.
Ninjutsu[]
Elder Centipede is skilled in Wind, Earth and Water release and is capable of preforming basic ninjutsu techniques such as Fire release: Fireball techniques, and Water release: Poison mist techniques and other ninjutsu styles.
Kekkei Tōta[]
Elder Centipede's Demonic Centipede is considered a Kekkei Tōta, this allows him to transform in which worm like creatures continuously grow from his body as it increases his strength and abilities as well as giving him terrifying abilities.
Taijutsu[]
Elder Centipede is highly skilled in taijutsu he uses the same fighting style used by the land of Fire monks and also combines his attacks with use of Tonfa's. His taijutsu focuses on rapid kicks, and punches, as well as grabs, counters and jabs.
Bukijutsu[]
Elder Centipede is skilled in multiple weapons, as a warrior monk he is skilled in close, mid, and long range forms of combat. He is heavily proficient in his Katana, and use of spears.
Part I[]
Prologue-Abandonment[]
Naruto was on a mission with Team-7 in the Land of Earth. This occurred some time after the land of Waves mission and prior to the Chūnin Selection Exams. The mission failed and the team was ambushed by Iwagakure shinobi who recognized Naruto as the son of Minato. Naruto was left for dead by Sasuke after the two were separated from Kakashi and Sakura. Naruto was badly injured by rescued by Emma who killed the Iwagakure shinobi about to kill him with her katana. Emma then took Naruto to a Ikkō-ikki warrior monk stronghold in-between the land of Lighting and Land of Waves. Emma nursed Naruto back to health with the Demonic centipede who reacted positively to Naruto's negative emotions and kicked the Nine-tails out of his body forcing it to reform.
Naruto later refused to return to Konohagakure mostly due to the influence of the Demonic centipede, Naruto travelled with Emma as she travelled to Kumogakure to continue her work as a travelling doctor. Naruto was inspired by the warrior monks and trained to be like them. He adopted the name Elder Centipede and discovered Huinmeoli and nursed her back to health and gave her a Demonic Centipede and adopted her as a student and she took on the name Junior Centipede. He then took on mercenary work and acted as his adoptive mothers bodyguard.
Chūnin Selection Exams[]
Huinmeoli wanted to see the Chūnin Selection Exams, which were held in Konohagakure. Elder Centipede initially refused and was then confronted by Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki who were hired by a smaller lord who mistook Elder Centipede for a group of Ikkō-ikki who had rebelled against his rule. Itachi decided to hire the wandering mercenary warrior monk, to protect Sasuke Uchiha from Orochimaru. Initially Elder Centipede had refused but after being given a large sum of money from Itachi's and Kisame recent bounty he agreed. The three managed to slip into Konohagakure by possessing a tourists.
Elder Centipede shocked Kankurō and Temari by not saving Konohamaru from Kankurō bullying and stated that Konohamaru was weak and useless. He later trains Huinmeoli but gets annoyed at Rock lee who attempts to ask Huinmeoli out on a date, and responds by beating the boy in a spar but was stop by Emma who heals Rock Lee and tells him to quit asking girls out who aren't interested in him. Elder Centipede fights his way out of Konohagakure during the invasion by Sunagakure and Otogakure killing numerous Oto and Suna shinobi on his way out, he also rescued Hinata Hyūga from two Kumogakure ninja but left her in the street upon remembering she stalked him as a child.
