Fire Release: Fire Fox Comet Technique (火遁・火狐彗星の術, Katon: Hokitsune Suisei no Jutsu) is a Fire Release technique invented by Hotaku Kamateru, who taught it to Katoru Uchiha in training for the third part of the Chunin exam. In this technique the user spits balls fire that is made looking like foxes made of fire through shape manipulation. The flaming foxes made by this technique are small compared to the fireballs of Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, but they can be guided more accurately and requre more shape manipulation, thus resulting these two jutsu having the same rank.

This jutsu has an advanced form called Fire Release: Fire Fox Great Comet Technique, in which the foxes are much bigger and devastating.
