Katon: Gekido is a technique of great power and versatility that utilizes the transfer of heat to produce a situated explosion with an excellent deal of procision. In order for the technique to work, a Shinja utilizes the Yin Release in order to amplify the chakra of the Fire Release in order to super-heat the air about a recent transfer of motion; for example the air resistance of a kunai or the sparks produced by a collision of blades. This heat produces a destructive explosion, capable of completely disintegrating solid rock, evaporating water with ease, and effecting an area directly proportional to the chakra dedicated to the task. The more chakra, the larger the explosion. Of course, this technique can potentially backfire in the hands of a novice Shinja, often resulting in loss of limbs or worse.
