The Futeki Clan (不敵一族, Futeki no Ichizoku) is an ancient clan of Iwagakure's shinobi. After helping found Iwa decades ago, The clan began to be looked down upon in the village until its leader Daitan Futeki - during his exile, founded Ishigakure and invited the rest of the clan to move there. Considering that the clan knew many secrets about Iwagakure, the migration was considered a threat by the high-ranking members of Iwa and, because of this, the clan was massacred.
History[]
The Futeki clan is a ancient shinobi clan dating the Warring States Period, in time leadered by Shūkan Futeki. Its members were know for being highly methodical shinobi who were masters of construction and architecture. Daitan Futeki and his siblings grew up amid numerous wars and conflicts with rival clans, facing losses and death from an early age. When he was still young, Daitan lost his father in battle and was subsequently raised by his uncle, Seikan Futeki, who assumed leadership of the clan. Due to his cunning nature and smaller stature compared to his relatives, Daitan was often assigned infiltration missions. The Futeki Clan had a special ink used for fūinjutsu and for high detailed schematics and construction projetcs.
With the rise of the first shinobi villages, the Futeki Clan chose to ally with Ishikawa, one of the most powerful shinobi in the Land of Earth, known for his mastery of multiple nature transformations and his extremely rare lineage. Ishikawa convinced Seikan that the Futeki Clan would be considered a noble clan in his newly founded village, Iwagakure, and that their expertise was essential to creating an imposing and impenetrable fortress. He envisioned a village carved from rock, one so formidable in its architecture that its mere presence would instill fear in any enemy or invader. Ishikawa also promised strategic marriages to ensure that the Futeki lineage would inherit valuable kekkei genkai in the future.

The Futeki clan's unofficial meeting in Iwagakure.
After Daitan left Iwagakure, Shikan took over as the leader of the Futeki Clan, but any political maneuver he attempted within the village was quickly suppressed by the high-ranking members of Iwa’s leadership. With each passing day, the Futeki Clan’s prestige dwindled, gradually losing the influence it once held. When Daitan's dream of creating a new shinobi village in the Land of Canyon was beginning to take shape and gain recognition, he sent a message to Iwagakure, inviting the rest of the Futeki Clan to join him at Ishigakure. This request was promptly accepted, as the clan had been underestimated in Iwagakure despite its significant role in its construction. However, before they could establish an alliance with the new village, news of their migration plans reached the ears of Team Mū. Manipulating Ishikawa's intentions, Team Mū was sent on a mission to massacre the entire Futeki Clan under the pretense that they knew too much about Iwagakure's construction and could become dangerous enemies if that knowledge left the village.
