Gamashiki is an elder toad that resides in Mount Myōboku. As the lazy heir of the Two Great Sage Toads, he is also known as the "Slothful Sage Toad". He is the personal summon of Arikurin Shiin.

Background[]

Gamashiki Blank Era

Gamashiki and his parents

Gamashiki is the son of youngest son of Fukasaku and Shima. At some point Gamashiki trained under Gamangaku. Later, Gamashiki was present when Gamabunta tells Jiraiya that the Great Toad Sage was looking for him in order to bestow a prophecy upon him. Some time after this, Gamashiki was prophesied to teach "The Young Man with Powerful Ears" senjutsu by the Great Toad Sage. He must succeed in order to be fully named the Toad Prince and take the throne after his parents. Uninterested, Gamashiki chose to ignore this and live a life of leisure.

Personality[]

Gamashiki is a lazy toad and his inclination is to do as little work as possible. He is rather comedic, and has the mannerisms of a smart aleck but remains light-hearted in most situations, preferring the levity of talk to the seriousness of battle. Gamashiki seems to lack a sense of danger and is often lazy when training. He often times doesn't practice his collaborative Genjutsu with Arikurin, forcing him to read music in battle-taking longer for his Jutsu to activate.

Appearance[]

Arikurin Blank Period

New Era: Arikurin and Gamashiki

Gamashiki is a small purple and black-coloured toad with untamed black hair, very thick eyebrows and a small goatee. He has been seen wearing two capes: a high-collared one and a simpler version in black. He also has an umbrella that he uses to shade himself from the sun during naps. However, the handle could be removed from the umbrella to reveal a hidden sword.

Abilities[]

Gamashiki

Gamashiki's sound waves

Gamashiki can release large, loud and immensely powerful sound waves that effectively annoy, distract and temporarily paralyze any afflicted targets completely by infusing chakra in his throat. Gamashiki is very skilled with a sword, as shown having gone toe-to-toe with Arikurin during their first training match. Gamashiki is also very agile. He showed great skill at fighting in mid-air using a number of successive kicks. Despite his small size, his durability is very high, able to take a direct air bullet from the Shukaku.

Nature transformation[]

This toad possesses a special Kekkai Genkai known as the Boil Release by combining water and fire natures. Steam is generated by heating chakra to its boiling point. The steam emanates from the Gamashiki's body, he able spread and propel it with his umbrella. Gamashiki has shown the ability spew oil from his mouth like most toads which he can use in collaboration with Arikurin and his wind-based chakra to create the Wind Release: Toad Oil Bullet.

Genjutsu[]

Book of Toad Genjutsu

Gamashiki hands the book of genjutsu meoldies to Arikurin

Like Shima and Fukasaku, Gamashiki is capable of using a very powerful genjutsu called Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. In order to use this technique, he must adjust his voice and harmonise with Arikurin's Shindo Tanto.. When finally applied, it attacks the opponent's sense of hearing, and will completely paralyse the target(s) body. It gives Gamashiki a sore throat afterwards forcing him to rest and return to Mount Myoboku, meaning it cannot be used repeatedly.

Senjutsu[]

Gamashiki is extremely skilled and experienced in senjutsu, a specialised field of techniques that allows the user to sense and then gather the natural energy around a person and draw it inside them, then blending it with their own chakra to create senjutsu chakra. This natural energy-empowered state grants the practitioner a high amount of a type of chakra which is stronger than other types of chakra. Other benefits include an unnaturally high level of raw strength, incredible speed, and huge resistance to physical attacks. With it, he is able to raise a giant frog statue much heavier than himself, and even throw Gamatatsu a long distance.

Interlude[]

Gamashiki trains Arikurin

When Arikurin arrived in Mount Myoboku, Gamashiki greeted him stated that the Great Toad Sage was expecting him. The Toad Sage had Arikurin brought before him so that he could let him know that "The Mother of Musical Ninjutsu" can still be heard." Some time after this, Arikurin spends time learning and practicing the Genjutsu melodies. Gamashiki later decides to train Arikurin in Sage Jutsu.

Pain's Assault[]

Gamashiki vs Pain

Gamashiki, Shima, and Fukasaku help Naruto fight Pain

Shima summoned Gamashiki, Naruto, Fukasaku, Gamaken, Gamabunta, Gamakichi, and Gamahiro to Konoha's centre moments after Pain destroyed the village. As Naruto engaged Pain, Gamashiki, Shima and Fukasaku provided assistance, dealing with the Animal Path's summons. Gamashiki and the other toads proceeded to attack Pain with their weapons, but he easily avoided them. The toads then tried to attack Pain again, but he appeared in the middle of the three and used his Shinra Tensei to send them flying out of Konoha's borders, and killing Fukasaku. When Pain was defeated, and subsequently chose to revive everyone he had killed, Fukasaku was brought back to life.

There, he is easily found by the Land of Keys Anbu and he teams up with Emiko Hayate as they uncover a plan by the Kara Outer. Following a quickly crafted plan, Gamashiki aids Son Gōku, Emiko, and Arikurin in destroying the tree and Kaitō, but not without consequences. Later, he and Emiko are attacked by Banri, a mysterious young man who appeared before the two could part ways. Son Gokū took control of Emiko's body to initiate a new form called "Baryon Mode" and together with Arikurin, barely fended off Banri during a transient moment of weakness, but at the expense of Son Gokū's own life and the two ANBU-nin being critically injured.
