Using an immense amount of chakra, giant, customizable Shadow Clones are formed instead of the generic Shadow Clone. These giant shadow clones consume the same fraction of the user's chakra as regular shadow clones, and, like its parent technique, mimics the chakra system, only now much larger than before.
As the clone is gigantic, its much larger chakra systems allow it to use much more powerful jutsu, while possessing the same reserves as regular shadow clones (i.e half the user's chakra). This means that for every single technique, a much larger portion of the user's chakra can be used to fuel it, effectively making it much larger and more powerful as well. However, as the reserves of the shadow clone are the same, this just means that it uses more chakra faster, resulting in increased power and size for any jutsu used. This applies to Nintaijutsu as well. Since the clone is larger, it also uses more chakra when it uses the Body Flicker Technique
Next, the Giant Shadow Clone is much stronger, possessing the same muscular traits as the original body, except sized up and adapted accordingly via the use of Chakra Reinforcement. This means that it is both much faster and stronger than the original, and also means that a portion of the chakra fuelling the technique decides the size and strength of the clone as well. Since the clone is gigantic, it can unleash much more powerful Taijutsu attacks with the same speed as the original user, only scaled up with its increased size. The size of the clone is dependent on the fraction of chakra dedicated to increasing the size of the clone, though normally it can match the size of tailed beasts.
Furthermore, the Giant Shadow Clone is more durable than its smaller counterparts. As it is much larger, any damage dealt to it is distributed over a much larger area, and much more force is required to disrupt them and dispel them. This means that while it is a larger target, small techniques would not affect it as much as it would smaller shadow clones.
A flaw in this technique is, ironically, its size as well. While it is efficacious to use for most, it cannot last in long battles courtesy of its massive power output (usage). Though, for the short period of time it exists, it is capable of turning the tide for most battles.
The size and traits of the clone can also be decided by the user, if their chakra control is high enough. For example, for Kontoru Tsuchigumo, he can make his Giant Clone's skin pure Earth.
