Hōzuki Mako (鬼灯 マコ, Hōzuki Mako) is a member of the Hōzuki clan of Kirigakure, and was once a very influental and powerful founder of the village itself, being a close friend and companion of the First Mizukage.
Background[]
Mako was born into the Hōzuki clan, where he was immediately trained into becoming an elite ninja, and mastered the clans special technique, the Hydrification Technique, as a result. Some time during his years as an academy student or Genin, he befriended the soon-to-be First Mizukage, and stayed as his partner up until the formers deathbed. Mako found a way to become immortal by age, and is currently rumored to be alive, searching for revenge for his fallen comrade. During his life as a Jonin in Kirigakure, he battled Uchiha Madara which resulted in a draw.
Powers and Abilities[]
Mako was said to be one of the strongest ninja in the history of Kirigakure, to even be on match with the Mizukage at times. Mako was of the Hōzuki clan, and thus was a master of the Hydrification Technique, which allowed him to survive most attacks with ease. He also utilized Fire and Earth Release with maximum efficiency. Mako had also invented his own techniques, usually by combining already existing techniques with other ones, to perform greater tasks. An example of this is the Diving Dolphin Technique, which combines his Hydrification Technique with the Hiding Like a Mole Technique, which he used by forcing down his arms into the ground, and then made them travel long ranges for an added surprise attack, such as to grab an opponents legs. Mako could also use several techniques at once by blending their hand signs with each other, allowing him to use the Fountain Missile Technique, where he uses the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique together with the Water Release: Gunshot and an unnamed Earth Release Technique which creates large bullets of earth and rock, creating a flurry of projectiles with different properties.
