Hamura Ōtsutsuki (大筒木ハムラ, Ōtsutsuki Hamura), later famed as the First Mazuka (ショダイメマズカ, Shodai Mazuka), was the founder of the way of life in the Land of Mountains, the progenitor of the Mazuka Clan, as well as the Hyūga Clan and the Kaguya Clan. More famously, he was the brother of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki; the Sage of the Six Paths.
Background[]
As the brother of Hagoromo, Hamura was born into the world as one of the first users of chakra. Hamura assisted his brother in sealing the Shinju, which lead to his brother being called a savior. Hamura, however, rejected his brother as the savior of the world and went into seclusion on a faraway mountain. In this new land, he gained a large following, and eventually went on to found the country: the Land of Mountains.
He is also credited as the one who gave birth to the Hyūga and Mazuka Clans.
Appearance[]
At first he was only mentioned by name and no sort of appearance was given for him. However, according to Hagoromo's flashbacks, Hamura was shown to have looked immensely like a descendant of his brother's: Madara Uchiha. He possessed long, flowing, snow-white hair and, like his brother, had very pale skin. Unlike Hagoromo, who inherited the Sharingan from their mother, Hamura inherited her Byakugan eyes.
Abilities[]
Though largely unknown, Hamura's abilities can be assumed to be grand, as he was able to defeat the Ten-Tails alongside his brother.
Byakugan[]
Like his mother, Hamura was a user of the Byakugan, and he would later go on to pass this dōjutsu on to a branch of his descendants; the Hyūga Clan.
Techniques[]
Shikotsumyaku[]
Hamura also inherited the Shikotsumyaku kekkei genkai from his mother, using it to manipulate his skeletal structure as a means of attack and defense.
Trivia[]
- Ryun Uchiha's final jinchūriki transformation, while using the Six Paths Mode, bears a striking resemblance to Hamura.
