Hikari Yakushi (薬師光, Literally meaning: Light of the Medicine Healer, Yakushi Hikari) is an exceptional Kunoichi hailing from Konohagakure. An orphan of unknown origins, she was raised within the walls of the Konoha Orphanage, where she would be given the name Yakushi upon coming of age. Rising through the ranks in a steady climb following her graduation from the Konoha Ninja Academy, she has cemented herself as one of the most capable kunoichi of her era: displaying considerable prowess within the realm of Taijutsu, and mastery of the Element of Earth. Fittingly, she would go on to earn the moniker of the Shining Mountain: an indomitable and unshakable defender of the village and its inhabitants.

Among the countless kunoichi that have walked before her and will continue on long after, the girl known as Hikari Yakushi is undoubtedly one who'll make her mark for years to come. While not the prodigy of her two teammates, it is no exaggeration to call her a "genius of hard work" who manages to stand alongside them in skill and ability. Starting off with taijutsu as her only skill and talent, it would be under the watchful eye of Arata that Hikari would slowly, but surely, begin to grow and develop further. In this regard, she can be considered a type of late-bloomer. A true testament to her skill is that at that after making chunin at the age of fourteen, she was directly scouted to be a member of the Fire Daimyō's Twelve Guardian Ninja.
However, simple recognition only amounts to so much, and Hikari's actions could be considered her greatest testimony of her prowess as a kunoichi.

Believed to be one of the last living descendants of the Shizenkai Clan, this claim to such a monstrous heritage is believed to be the truth, with Hikari's possession of their feared kekkei genkai, Kinotenchi. Initially knowing little to nothing of it or its mechanics, she would later slowly to come to understand and harness her bloodline, eventually mastering it all together. Her not-so-secret ace up her sleeve, the ability is one that cannot be ignored.
Thus far, Hikari has shown that she has a great mastery of the bloodlines basic abilities. She is able to undergo baseline Sage Transformation, using it to bolster her physical might to greater levels. Often, she has been shown to create weaponry out of her limbs that she wields as easy as breathing. Likewise, she can harden her body to increase her durability and enhance the power of her blows.
