Inojin Yamanaka (山中いのじん, Yamanaka Inojin) is a shinobi from Konohagakure's Yamanaka Clan. He is the son of Sai and Ino Yamanaka and the team-mate of Chōchō Akimichi and Shikadai Nara, with the three of them forming the 17th iteration of the "Ino-Shika-Chō".

Background

Inojin Vs. Araya

Inojin took part in the Chūnin Exams alongside his team-mates. During the second round, Inojin was able to make quick work of a Kusa ninja, whereas during the individual portion of the exams, Inojin was pitted against Araya and suffered a defeat, resulting in his elimination. Afterwards, he helped the jōnin with the evacuation of the villagers during the Ōtsutsuki assault.

Abilities

Inojin is able to use the Earth and Water Release nature transformations, the latter of which he can combine with Yang Release to manipulate the properties of ink and produce creatures out of drawings. He is also adept at Medical Ninjutsu, genjutsu, and is able to perform his clan's signature mind-oriented techniques. Like his clansmen, Inojin is an accomplished sensor, and has been trained in kenjutsu by his father.
