Jaguar Paw was originally a child from the land of the jungles. A separate island to the ninja world, it was not until his village was attacked by Orochimaru did he come into contact with his first shinobi. Jaguar Paw was forcibly taken from his home lands of the jungle across the sea. Orochimaru's plan was to use one of the prototype cruse marks on the young boy. However, the curse mark was rejected from Jaguar Paw's body. This helped unlock some of the young boy's elemental nature. Jaguar Paw would eventually escape with the help of Karin Uzumaki. Jaguar Paw continued to run until he arrived in the land of waves.
