Jashin Ōtsutsuki (ジャシン大筒木, Ōtsutsuki Jashin), famously known by his forename Jashin (ジャシン, Jashin), is the god worshipped in Jashinism (ジャシン教, Jashinkyō) and a member of the Ōtsutsuki Clan's main family, currently using his ancestor Murakumo Kurama as his vessel. In the process of being killed by ritualistic sacrifice, Jashin placed a Kāma on Murakumo, allowing his spirit to remain intact through the mark.
Sent to investigate the whereabouts of Kaguya and Isshiki's God Tree, Jashin attempting to cultivate a new one out of her son's chakra. Following their legendary duel, Jashin suffered severe damages and took over the body of his own son.
Some time prior to his deafeat, Jashin was discovered by the people of the Emerald City during an arrival to Earth, who brought him before their Emerald Empress. Identifying himself as a Celestial Being, he settled among the people, becoming recognised as their divine god.
