Kōmyō Monodukuri (物作り巧妙, Monodukuri Kōmyō) is a jōnin of Eigakure. A member of the village's Monodukuri and Yukitake clans, she would become integral to the former for one reason: her inheritance. One of the many grandchildren of the First, she would be the antidote to her grandmother's despair, the older woman having worried that she would die without passing on her skills. As soon as Kemuri learned of Myō having it, she would set about thoroughly training her grandchild, sparing no lesson when molding Myō into a respectable kunoichi. Since the death of Kemuri, Komyo has focused on keeping her memory alive by giving her best to the village her ancestor called home. And having some fun too of course.
Background[]
Personality[]
The mini-me Kemuri. Thanks to her strongly resembling her late grandmother, most assume she acts like her too. And for the most part, they are correct, with the woman even demonstrating Kem's smoking habits. Myō takes particular pride in her Smoke Release, having been the only person to inherit it from the First Eikage. As such, she trains it diligently, wanting to match and eventually exceed her predecessor's prowess with the art. This contrasts sharply with her lax way of speaking, often dragging syllables and abbreviating wherever possible. Her relatives are just glad she didn't inherit her grandmother's sharp tongue like her younger sister did. When off-duty, she commonly visits both the Monodukuri family plot, and the hall where the statues of present and past Eikage stand, just to brief her ancestor on any breakthroughs she had, how the past few days have been, or any difficulties she's encountered in life. Myō likes to think keeping her ancestor in the loop will help her stay focused and task, getting whatever she has to off her chest before going on about her day. Despite doing her best to ensure the village's safety as one of its vets, she harbors no ambition to take political office; she sees it as too much of a restriction on her ability to what's necessary when it needs to be done. Or as she puts it "sitting in a chair for gods knows how long makes my bones creak".
Another point of pride? Being Kemuri's unequivocal favorite. Despite being put through the meat-grinder with her lessons, Myō would be lavished with attention outside of them, being a regular recipient of "little side projects" that her grandmother had worked on. It demonstrated to Koumyou just how desperate her grandmother had been for another Smoke Release user, so she regularly took advantage of her granny's charity. Of course, she was happy to trumpet the fact she was her grandmother's favorite, at times getting into fights with her siblings over this. She would settle down a bit following the arrival of her youngest sister, as Kashikoi proved adept at one thing Kou couldn't do: metallurgy. Though the two sisters would feud when vying for Kem's attention, Kōmyo likes to joke that "Kashi was my karma for being too arrogant". Though they still bicker, it's in a manner more resembling loving siblings, with Kou dropping by her baby sister's forge regularly to see what she's cooking up.
Appearance[]

The mini-me.
The second coming of Kemuri? It's what many seem to imply when seeing the Koumyou for the first time. She particularly resembles the First Eikage in her early adulthood, from the rich blonde locks, to sapphire eyes which range from cheeky to cocky to conceited. There are some differences, however. Within her blue eyes are slit pupils which greatly resemble a cat's; on more than one occasion she's been mistaken for a sage. Her blonde locks are considerably longer, typically worn in a low ponytail which she drapes over her left shoulder. A large bang runs down the middle of her face before tying in with the rest of her ponytail. While not physically imposing like her parents, she does have their height, cresting at around six feet and one inch, only emphasizing her slender physique. Regardless, her chosen attire still hugs the woman's curves, the woman considerably endowed.
Clothes-wise, she alternates between comfort and looks. Koumyou's most commonly seen wearing a white tank-top with yoga pants, a light stripe running from her hip to her ankle on each side. Though she adds a jacket, it's more of an accessory than a practical addition, with the jacket hanging around her elbows while the rest flaps freely in the wind. Completing this look is a pair of sneakers or sandals, dependent on the activity for the day. For a day out on the town, however, she switches it up considerably. Yoga pants are replaced by artfully faded jeans, themselves tucked into calve-high black boots. Around the jeans are a dark studded belt, while another smaller one encircles her midriff. Replacing the athletic jacket is one more appropriate for colder weather, the sleeves and hood lined with white fur. Lastly, her white tanktop remains, though worn under a slightly darker one.
