Kōzui no Kuni (荒瑞の国, Literally meaning: Untamed Prophecy Kingdom) is a kingdom created and founded by Nasake prior to the ill-fated encounter with a mysterious goddess.
History[]
Upon amassing such a grandiose fortune from years as an archaeologist and merchant, he did what no member of his clan had before: he used his amassed fortune to build a village. In this sanctuary, spirit and stone merged. Kōzui no Kuni, Nasake named it—the Kingdom of Untamed Prophecies. Its walls were inscribed with ancient symbols, and its streets wound like serpents through gardens of rare desert flora. Here, scholars gathered to study the stars, seeking patterns that bridged past and future. Nasake himself meditated atop the Pyramid of Whispering Sands, where winds carried secrets from distant epochs. In Kōzui no Kuni, the arid climate remained, yet oasis pools shimmered, and date palms swayed. Nasake’s people thrived, their spirits attuned to the land. They whispered gratitude to the desert, for it had birthed them and taught them resilience. Kōzui no Kuni was more than stone and mortar; it converged energies. Nasake communed with the desert’s spirits, seeking their blessing. He performed rituals at dawn and dusk, ensuring harmony between the land and its inhabitants.
The young lord, proud of his greatest achievement, stood at the kingdom's heart, gazing across the sands. His eyes, still the color of sun-bleached bones, held a different sadness now—a longing for the forgotten civilizations, the runes etched in time. But he knew that in his kingdom, their echoes lived on. And so, he smiled—a geologist, an archaeologist, a keeper of stories—his soul as vast as the desert itself.
Challenges[]
Nasake, the visionary behind Kōzui no Kuni, encountered formidable challenges as he labored to shape his desired kingdom from the unforgiving desert. The desert yielded little—water was a precious commodity, and fertile soil was scarce. Nasake’s engineers devised intricate systems to collect and store rainwater, channeling it to nourish the oasis gardens and sustain life much like Sunagakure. It was said that the giant ziggurat in the middle of the kingdom was the first thing created and is the chief location for scholars. The desert unleashed its fury in swirling tempests. Nasake’s architects, who were talented in Earth Release and sand manipulation, designed windbreaks and sturdy structures, but even so, grains of sand infiltrated every crevice. Nasake stood atop the ziggurat during a sandstorm, his eyes stinging, whispering ancient incantations to protect their future. The Mitama Clan revered their nomadic ways. Nasake’s vision clashed with tradition. Elders questioned the need for permanence—a village carved from rock and memory. Nasake’s eloquence swayed some, but others remained skeptical. Even then, it lay far from other settlements. Nasake’s traders ventured beyond the dunes, bartering artifacts for supplies. Yet, the kingdom remained secluded—a sanctuary where scholars and dreamers gathered, their voices echoing through the labyrinthine streets.

A Sanctuary for the Misbegotten[]
Nasake cradled the past in his hands—. He knew civilizations rose and fell, leaving whispers in the desert’s grains. This kingdom would be his testament—a place where knowledge flowed like water, where scholars and dreamers gathered to decipher the enigmas of time. It would be a living archive—a bridge between past and present, where scholars traced the footsteps of ancients. The scholars were the weavers of its tapestry—a vital thread connecting the village’s past, present, and future. Scholars delved into dusty tomes, deciphering cryptic runes etched on temple walls and pottery shards. They pieced together the stories of lost civilizations—their triumphs, their downfalls. Kazan’s library overflowed with scrolls, each whispering forgotten truths. At dusk, scholars climbed the Observatory Spire, their eyes tracing constellations. They sought patterns—the celestial dance that mirrored earthly cycles. Some believed the stars held memories, and by studying their movements, they glimpsed echoes of bygone eras. The walls bore inscriptions—runes etched in sandstone. Scholars painstakingly translated them, revealing incantations, historical accounts, and warnings. They carved protective symbols on doorways, ensuring the village’s spiritual balance. Nasake welcomed travelers from distant lands—their tongues as varied as the desert sands. Scholars mastered dialects, bridging gaps between merchants, mystics, and nomads. They preserved oral histories, ensuring that tales of courage and love echoed through generations. Though, initially favored by scholars, civilians, shinobi and samurai from the Land of Iron called this kingdom home.
Hourglass Nexus[]

Nasake’s kingdom, veiled in veils of mist, cradles the hourglass at its heart. Metaphysical bonds tether it to the land, an umbilical cord of ages. The sands within—each grain a whisper of existence—ebb and flow, mirroring the pulse of creation. Around Nasake’s realm, spectral sands hover like a celestial guard. They drift, silent and watchful. Each grain bears memories: birth cries, laughter, battles lost, and love found. They remember the fall of empires, stars' birth, and gods' tears. As they step upon its threshold, the sands of time stir. Each footfall echoes through time, resonating with forgotten echoes. The traveler steps, and the loop tightens—a Möbius dance. Past and present blur, and they find themselves retracing their own steps. The path forks, yet always converges. The same tree, the same stone, the same whispered breeze. They walk, and the sands shift, erasing their progress.
The Medallion's Whispers[]
To escape the loop, they must unravel its mystery. But the sands, like quicksilver, slip through their grasp. The traveler’s salvation lies fragmented in a medallion torn asunder. High atop the Sandswept Spire, buffeted by tempests, lies the first. Its edges shimmer—a boundary between now and forever. When clasped, it grants glimpses of Nasake’s throne—a seat of paradox. Seek the next shard in the Cavern of Echoes, where shadows dance. It mirrors the traveler’s reflection—a choice unmade is a path untrodden. When held, it resonates with Nasake’s laughter—a riddle unsolved. Beneath the serrated spires of the Eternal Mountain, the last shard rests. Its surface is etched with constellations; it whispers of lost futures. To touch it is to glimpse the cosmic loom—the warp and weft of existence. Assembled, the medallion hums—a shield against the divine sands.
