Kirawa (嫌わ, Kirawa) are a species of humanoids with supernatural hunting instincts. Easily recognized by their malevolent energy and crazed behaviors, Kirawa differ from humans in nearly all aspects aside from appearance. The most noteworthy of these is their ability to manipulate, absorb, and utilize their Konkaku: the energy that comprises the soul. Along with this power, however, comes the desire to absorb the Konkaku of others, and in some cases entire souls. Furthermore, Kirawa are mentally unstable, and are often seen murdering masses for no apparent reason. The cause of this instability remains unknown, but as Kirawa grow in numbers, so do the total deaths each year...

Kirawa born to the Amanojaku Clan differ from standard Kirawa physically - specifically, the way they reproduce; being more animalistic - and in strength. These Kirawa tend to have a stronger connection to Konkaku, and usually wind up giving into an insatiable hunger for it.
