The Kurogane Clan (黒鉄一族, Kurogane Ichizoku) is one of the founding clans of Iwagakure, and was one of its noble clans prior the Kurogane Clan Schism. The clan has since had a semi-prominent position in Konohagakure, but has been relegated to second-class status within Iwa. Despite this, the clan is still legendary for their battle prowess and revered for having developed the concept of the Dragon Veins (龍脈, Ryūmyaku), manipulating them to utilize high level Earth Release techniques.
