The Three Wolves

The Three Wolves mountains where the Land of Iron is located.

History[]

The Land of Iron (鉄の国, Tetsu no Kuni) is an icy, snow-covered country. It is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral and never been involved in the ninja wars. In fact, the shinobi have a rule since long ago that they would not meddle with the land. Despite this, it is said to have an incredibly strong military which is manned by samurai, instead of ninja.

When the Fourth Shinobi World War began, the Land of Iron joined the Shinobi Alliance and is fully prepared to participate in the war against Akatsuki's Eye of the Moon Plan. It is located among three mountains called the Three Wolves (三狼, Sanrō).[1] Its leader is Mifune, the general of the country.

The Kage Summit took place in the Land of Iron due to its security and neutrality, which it has prepared for by strengthening its guard. According to the Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, it has its own distinct culture, and there is "nothing fun about" meeting there.[2] When Sasuke Uchiha attacked the summit, he was declared an international criminal for challenging the five great ninja villages and for meddling with the neutral Land of Iron.

Samurai Bridge[]

This unnamed bridge is located in the Land of Iron. It is built out of blue stones and features a large gate at one end, somewhat resembling a torii, emblazoned with the kanji for samurai (侍). On top of the gate is a large, stone statue of a sheathed sword with weights hanging on both ends. After having fled from the Five Kage Summit, Danzō Shimura is confronted by Tobi on this bridge. After capturing Fū and Torune, Danzō's escorts, Tobi brings out Sasuke Uchiha to fight Danzō. Danzō was later to be defeated by Sasuke on this bridge after an intense battle. The bridge suffered massive damage from the battle but a large gap in the centre from Danzō's Reverse Four Symbols Sealing Technique, which is the largest sign a battle even occurred there at all.[1] After Sasuke's battle with Danzō, a battle between Team Kakashi and Sasuke broke out, in the end interrupted by Tobi who left with Sasuke.
