The user will make the required hand seals and then release their chakra into the ground. The earth surface for up to 20 meters will start to split as lava veins melt the surface creating a large multitude of lava cracks that start to destroy the terrain. This technique is capable of altering the terrain to the users advantage as the lava released from the cracks begins to melt away any form of cover or small rockery. Larger peices of earth such as platous or mounds will form cracks just the same but will become scared and disfigured as lava spills over them. This technique is essentially capable of affecting and altering a large piece of land in a matter of moments.
