The user wraps their body in a layer of lightning chakra that, instead of being used offensively, is used to electrically stimulate the user's nervous system. The technique speeds up neural synapses to react faster to danger and to push physical prowess to the absolute limit, allowing for tremendous raw speed.

This armour, combined with taijutsu, allows A to utilise nintaijutsu. When using the armour at full power, it causes the tips of his hair to spike up and his reflexes are said to be comparable to those of Konoha's Yellow Flash, making it difficult even for the Sharingan, to keep up with him.By combining this armour with the Body Flicker Technique, he can even dodge Sasuke's Amaterasu and Jūgo's Cursed Seal Chakra Blast, both at point blank range. Only Minato Namikaze's Flying Thunder God Technique and Naruto Uzumaki while in his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode are faster than A is at maximum speed and power.

The armour also increases the user's defences, drastically reducing, if not completely negating, damage from incoming attacks as seen when A deflected a back attack from Sasuke's Sword of Kusanagi: Chidori Katana.

Bhav Hyuga, a particular practitioner of this technique, uses this technique to primarily enhance his physical attributes. Additionally, when used in conjunction with his unique lightning-nature Gentle Fist-style, Thunder Palm, Bhav's subsequent attacks become much more dangerous. This increase in destructive capability is also witnessed in the performance of his other lightning techniques while clad in this armor.

Trivia

• In lieu of Tailed Beast chakra, the Fourth Raikage uses this lightning armour to empower himself when performing the Lariat, producing the same effects due to his high-powered chakra.
• In the manga, the Fourth Raikage's Lightning Release Armour is shown to be yellow.
