Menma Chinoike (の桔葵紫) is a Jōnin from the Chinoike Clan. He is a former ANBU bodyguard of the Third Hokage and also a dual shinobi that is representee for Kirigakure and Konohagakure to promote peace between villages, known as, The Steel Blade of Death ( 死の桔梗), because of the Steel Release kekkei genkai. He is one of the founding members of New Seven Ninja Swordsmen and later becomes a member of Team Fūma.

Early Life[]
Menma was born into the Chinoike Clan in the Land of Hot Water. Menma and his older brother, Ryo were both born with a naturally high chakra capacity, marking them for a future in the shinobi world. However, their clan's traditions prohibited children of different houses from learning Ninjutsu, creating a significant barrier to their growth. Then their Clan divided and one soon relocated to Konoha but Menma's Family went to Kirigakure. After graduating from the Academy, Menma was chosen to join the Third Hokage's personal ANBU unit. Ryo, on the other hand, was recruited into Danzo's ANBU Root division, a decision that caused considerable distress and choas within their family.
Hiruzen eventually began investigating a series of mysterious disappearances throughout Konoha. Following a lead provided by Mebna, he uncovered a shocking truth: Orochimaru was behind it all. To his dismay, Hiruzen not only discovered Orochimaru’s involvement in these kidnappings, but also the twisted nature of his experiments—Orochimaru sought to create a technique for eternal youth and immortality.
Menma and Ryo attempted to apprehend Orochimaru, but was defeated, killing Ryo in the process. Hiruzen attempted to apprehend Orochimaru, but could not bring himself to strike down his favourite student and allowed him to escape. Hiruzen had long hoped that Orochimaru would succeed him as Hokage but, despite his best efforts, he could never convince him of the Will of Fire. Hiruzen ultimately settled on Jiraiya's former student, Minato Namikaze, who had proven himself time and again during the Third Shinobi World War. Hiruzen assisted Minato with the transition of power by advising him on how to handle individuals and other village matters. He even retained some of his own ANBU including Menma.

Menma has dull-black hair and dark eyes. His face is usually set in a hard-lined expression and he wears the standard attire of the Kirigakure-nin and with an mix of Konohagakure-nin exclusive of flak jacket and forehead protector on a white cloth along with the jade-green bangle that he wore. He also carries a large cleaver-like blade strapped to his back.

Personality[]
He has a very deep-seated hatred for Iwagakure and will openly and readily attack shinobi from that village or anyone that sides with them even going against the will of the Mizukage to exact his revenge. This is due to the fact that they betrayed him greatly in the past; an incident which resulted in the death of his teammates. Menma also thinks very highly of his own skills. He enjoys combat even when facing particularly strong opponents.

Aoi has a quick reaction time, honed reflexes, and great physical strength and speed. Aoi has a powerful sense of sensor type, too the point it rivals Negative Emotions Sensing.

Kirisame Breakout[]
Menma arrives in Konoha meeting Aoi Murasaki,
Menma is dispatched by The Fifth Mizukage to find Aoi Murasaki and give him intel about the escaped convict, Kirisame Higashi and his Gang of other Missing-nin called, Yoyko. Menma utilizing his elite Sensory - Ninjutsu to find Aoi alone in his Anbu attire, quickly informing him on the current situation: Kirisame escaping the infamous Hōzuki Castle with his gang, the Yoyko that experiments on creating the best possible Kekkei Tōta. So, Tsunade forms am team that includes Aoi, Yoshi Fūma and Himself, to scout the village in search of Kirisame and his gang.

They are drawn to the site of Ibiki Morino's battle with Shiba Morno - one of main commanders of Yoyko. Menma and Aoi crush the two other gang members flanking Shiba, as they arrive and then turn their attention to the Shiba. Shiba defeats them easily with Steel Release: Impervious Armour, tanking Yoshi's Light Release: Rasengan, dodging Aoi's Clone Great Explosion with body replacement and then, forcing Menma to use his Ketsuryūgan but its brief display allows Aoi, Yoshi and Menma to discern how its abilities work and formulate an attack plan.
Aoi tries to use more of his Perfume Release Kekkei Genkai to blind Shiba but using Mysterious Peacock Method to create an massive shield around himself. Then it hit Menma, he realized that Light Release is impervious to any times of Shiba's Mysterious Peacock method entirely, Menma then charges in with Aoi to distract Shiba to force him to utilize more of the Technique, giving Yoshi time to enter Monkey Sage Mode. Shiba tries to grab Aoi, but Aoi holding Yoshi's Fūma Sword swaps places with Yoshi, making Shiba instantly baffled. Aoi using Shiba's confusion to his advantage adds Light Release to his Flower Shuriken: Falling Blossoms and Scattering Leaves as some of them are genjutsu and some are not strikes Shiba's left arm exploding on impact, forcing Shiba to retreat deeper inside the forest. Menma still using his sensory ninjutsu to track down Shiba, as Aoi and Yoshi follow his lead, but when they find him, they find Shiba dead at hands of the real, Yoyko leader, - Kirisame Higashi - Memna immediately starts to question Kirisame, Menma immediately activates his Ketsuryūgan as he tries Genjutsu: Ketsuryūgan on Kirisame but he reverses on Menma making him turn on Yoshi and Aoi from the genjutsu.

Aoi and Yoshi immediately go on the defensive trying to make Menma snap out of it but to no avail, Aoi spews out more Perfume Release from his mouth as Yoshi combines it with Fire Release creating Fire Release: Fragrant Inferno, making Kirisame to leap back, but Aoi had expected this with Yoshi, and they charge into Menma and Kirisame. Aoi knocks Menma back against an tree and then slams Sealing Tag on his chest wrapping him around against the tree, Meanwhile Yoshi and Kirisame go blow for blow and neither of them seem to beat each other, but Yoshi suggests combining Light Release with Perfume release as Kirisame charges in an Kunai blade in hand. Yoshi with an massive grunt and exhaustion catching up boots up an Final Light Release: Rasengan slowly increasing it with Shape Transformation as Aoi puts a hand on Yoshi's back channeling his chakra into Rasengan hitting Kirisame square in the chest, knocking him out against the ground, in turn releasing Menma from the genjutsu. After Reporting back to Tsunade, Menma says his fair wells to Yoshi and Aoi saying they will meet again soon.

After Sasuke breaks inside the Five Kage summit, Menma is contacted by Mei Terumī to capture Sasuke, but he accidently stumbles the messengers, Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi, and attacks in hopes of killing them to break off the alliance with Iwagakure, thinking they were helping Taka but after Akatsuchi shows their alliances, Menma aplogizes and later contacts Taki Iburi through an summoning contract with his Owl, Fukuemon with an scroll attached about current Fourth Great Shinobi War.

When word that the cell of the First Hokage was stolen from Konohagakure and was being sold on the Black Market in the Land of Silence spread. When Yoshi's team reached the borders were quickly attacked by new enemies. The attackers were revealed to be Kumo-nin. It turns out, The Fifth Raikage sent Omoi, along with Marui and Kakui, to retrieve it for Kumo. Upon arriving, they learned that the previous holder of the target, Sakuya, had been killed and the cells allegedly stolen by Konoha-nin.
