Minato Namikaze (波風ミナト, Namikaze Minato) was the Fourth Hokage (四代目火影, Yondaime Hokage, literally meaning: Fourth Fire Shadow) of Konohagakure. He gained renowed glory as the centre of The Prophecies Trio, but continued the legacy alone after his teammates' deaths as Konoha's Yellow Flash (木ノ葉の黄色い閃光, Konoha no Kiiroi Senkō, English TV: Yellow Flash of the Leaf). He eventually redebuted as a duo on the world stage as Konoha’s Double Flash (木の葉のダブルフラッシュ) with his goddaughter Misaki Ryuketsu.
He later on died during the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack, sacrificing his life to seal a part of the Nine-Tails into his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki.

Physical Description[]
Minato was considered an extremely handsome and attractive person to the eyes of both sexes. His memorable features were his Olympic blue eyes, spiky blonde hair and signature shining smile. He aged finer than wine and his handsomeness was very charming particularly to women. His teammate Shizuhiro was more overpowering but Minato had the brighter and more easygoing presence. He always made the effort to be positivity driven and it was the key feature of his physical charisma.
Minato was also fortunate that despite his abusive father and impoverished home status, he had caring adults looking after his growth development. In spite of being poor, his mother did not forget his nutrition and made valient efforts to execute it, even if it meant to the deteriment of her own. Even when she couldn't for whatever reason, Shizuhiro's grandmother Yuko was always there to make up her failures. She cared for Minato like a grandson, so she was never hesitant in providing him with her nutritious home-cooked food and clean water whenever he needed or wanted it. His physical health escaped the ugly fate of malnourishment that would have befell him otherwise and instead became a rock solid foundation to be built on. In consequence, Minato was and always looked fit and healthy even against shinobi standards.

Minato was born into poorer circumstances compared to others, so his earlier wardrobe was limited only to items handmade by his mother. His uniform to school was a white suit of clothing with green trimmings and a hood. It was his most expensive clothing item as a child. Hence, it was normal for him to struggle with wearing and tearing, as well as feeling particularly self conscious whenever fabric holes appeared on his outfits. Minato only managed to buy more decent clothing himself with his own money much later as his father regularly extorted his mission wages when he was alive.

His official attire then consisted of a standard Konoha uniform with two bands on both of his sleeves, a green flak jacket, blue forehead protector, and blue sandals. After becoming Hokage, he started wearing a short-sleeved long white haori over his normal attire, closed in the front by a thin, orange rope. The haori was decorated by red flame-like motifs on the edges, with the kanji for "Fourth Hokage" (四代目火影, Yondaime Hokage) written vertically down the back.

At home, Minato would often be seen wearing the items he received as gifts possessively over and over. Many of them were presents from his deceased teammates during their early days together, such as the white pair of high-quality socks from Shizuhiro. However, the most elaborate clothing item was a matching Navy tracksuit set personally sewn by Yuko.

- Studio Pierrot's Settei sheets of Minato show that he was 147 cm when he saved Kushina from Kumogakure.
- One of Minato's personal favourite phrases were "The fire's shadow illuminates the village" (火の影は里を照らす, Hi no kage wa sato o terasu).
- Minato is ambidextrous. He has been shown wielding his kunai as well as the Rasengan proficiently with each hand. This is also shown when he summons using his left hand, indicating that he signed the contract with his left hand.
