Naginata (薙刀, Literally meaning: Halberd) is a Japanese halberd-like weapon where a curved blade is mounted on a long pole. The Japanese martial arts of naginatajutsu (薙刀術, Literally meaning: Halberd Technique) focuses on training with this weapon.
