Namaiki Yotsuki (夜月生意気, lit. "Cheeky Night Moon") is a citizen of Eigakure. The youngest of Masumi and Ryun's two children, her childhood was stories. Grand quests, insurmountable odds, toppling gods, and more. Coupled with an overactive imagination, she'd be ultimately inspired to take on her current vocation: authorship. Starting with children's short stories and poems, Nama would hone her craft with a religious zeal, putting pen to paper the moment something came to her. These days, she's a recognized novelist best known for her works in fiction and fantasy, borrowing from the abundance of material her family has generated.

It's later revealed Namiki is in fact Sarushiki Ōtsutsuki (,). Though killed alongside their general during a seismic clash with Raido and Eihei, the alien managed to activate Kāma. Only for it to bounce from individual to individual, as various protections prevented the seal from being applied. Eventually, it landed on Masumi, where it took root. Thunderous arguments between Saru's conscience and Masu's Asura eventually prompted a realization on Saru's part. One reinforced by her reading through and experiencing Masu's memories, and recognizing what would be lost if the seal completed. Yet it also birthed a desire to share in the bubbly, warm character of Masu. Through mechanisms created from her own will, ultimately Saru concentrated the spreading genetic backup in the seal, before moving it to Masumi's womb. There, Saru merged with a viable egg to grow and be reborn as Masumi's child. Despite retaining her past memories and abilities, she remains keen on making the most of her new life. By the events of 300 Years Forward, she is the effective Keeper of Xirai, an extensive library containing the stories, knowledge, and memories of the House of X.

Despite being a non-ninja by trade, she was rigorously taught the ins and outs of her heritage by her mother and older sister Atsumari. This included learning the way of the sword so as not to shame her maternal ancestors, becoming proficient enough to at least hold her own against specialists. Likewise, the tour would include learning the basics of and applying fūinjutsu, eventually culminating in that seal after several stops and starts. Additionally, her father's instruction would impart a steady diet of taijutsu, aided by lessons he gained from his mother-in-law. Coupled with her genetic gifts, the author proves more than a match for the average shinobi, allowing her to complete her nationwide and international book tours with little interference.
