Naruto: A Shinobi Story (ナルト・あ忍者物語, Naruto: A Ninja Monogatari) is fanfiction, or fan series, written by RW109 diverging from the current Naruto canon.
Naruto: A Shinobi Story is a different direction taken for the series from the canon storyline by Masashi Kishimoto, including arcs and plotlines that while some remain the same there will be others that will be changed or excluded that allow room for more storyline opportunities later. It is told from the third person perspective and is organized by chapters and goes over the legends of Naruto Uzumaki and Konoha 13.
The story focuses on the Five Great Shinobi Countries, Otogakure, Amegakure, Kusagakure, Uzushiogakure, and Shimogakure as the shinobi world spirals into war at the hands of the mysterious organization, Akatsuki, whose leadership and goal are yet to be determined. Many nations are plagued with organized crime, wars, revolutions, and coup d’états with the Fourth Shinobi World War fast approaching. Will heroes rise to the challenge and save the world from the ghost of the past? Will there be peace in the shinobi world or will war, death, destruction, and chaos continue?
