The Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant (自来也豪傑物語, Jiraiya Gōketsu Monogatari) is an arc from Part II of the series. This arc vengeance’s investigation of Pain’s identity, only to discover his past has come back with a vengeance. This arc is preceded by the Itachi Uchiha Pursuit Mission and followed by Pain’s Assault.
