Background

Unlike most people, Nikari did not come from a sob story, where both his parents died, he became a missing-nin, etc. His life was rather normal to say the least, being born to well respected members of Kirigakure. His mother was a gifted tokubetsu jōnin and a member of the Hōzuki Clan. His father was a intelligent weapons craftsmen and part-time chuunin of the Kiri forces. Once Nikari was born, he was doted over by many of his fellow clansmen, whom later took him under their wing. Showing skill from a young age, his father and mother decided to train him for a bit. After being taught how to fight by his mom, and how to think and strategize by his father, Nikari was enrolled in the academy. There, he quickly ascended to the tops of his class in the written tests as well as ninjutsu before graduating from the academy at the age of 10. Though he struggled initially with taijutsu, Nikari learned how to use the hydrification technique to become passable in it.

Personality

Though Nikari was doted on and thoroughly spoiled by the Hōzuki, he somehow managed to retain a little perspective on life. Despite this, he still a very confident person who strongly believes in his ability to outwit and outmaneuver his opponent. According to his parents, he is a go-getter, one who refuses to let opportunity pass him by, especially when he can grow stronger from the experience. Thus, at every opportunity, he trained with his fellow clan members and his parents to grow stronger in mind and body. Nikari considers himself to be highly ambitious, as he looks to become an ANBU member before the age of 20 and a hunter-nin for the village he calls home. Surprisingly, Nikari does not share the prejudice that his village has against KG users, despite stern warnings from clan elders to stay away from them. He considers KGs just another type of hiden, except that it is born within instead of having to be learned. Many of the Kiri-nin consider Nikari to be wise beyond his years, something that they think will serve the village well in its rise to power.

Hōzuki Clan Powers

Like all Hōzuki clan members, Nikari possesses the ability to manipulate his body structure. With it, he can separate a piece of his body to wrap around his opponent's head. He also can utilize his Hydrification technique to render physical attacks (besides lightning) useless. He can also manipulate his liquified body to make himself smaller or taller depending on the space that he has to fit through. Lastly, he can use the infamous Water Gun Technique, allowing him to shoot a small droplet of water at powerful speeds.
