The Ninja Art: Dreadful Bloody Seppuku Technique is a terrifying technique that strikes fear into the hearts of all who witness it. It was originally developed for the purposes of judicial execution, but was soon adapted by ninja for use in battle. After the necessary hand seals are formed, the user uses their chakra to control their target's muscles, and forces them to draw a kunai or other sharp object. The victim is then compelled to disembowel himself with the object because of the said muscle manipulation. Since vital organs are stabbed in the process, this technique is almost always fatal if it is executed successfully. However, it has several drawbacks. Firstly, the power of this technique decreases exponentially the further the user is from the target, which limits it to being a short-range technique. This drawback can be worked around by expending more chakra on the technique, but this is dangerous as the quantity of chakra will be staggeringly high. A way to eliminate the high chakra cost is to have multiple users participate. Conversely, however, the technique's power increases exponentially the closer the user is to the target, making it virtually unbreakable if the user is within a few feet of the target.
Trivia[]
The name of this technique is a contradiction in terms, in the sense that the kanji '忍法' (Ninpō, literally meaning "Ninja Art") and '切腹' (Seppuku, literally meaning "chest cutting") have been juxtaposed. Seppuku was traditionally practiced only by samurai, who were bound by a strict code to disembowel themselves should they have been dishonored. Ninja were bound by no such code, yet "Ninja Art" is present in the name of this technique alongside "Seppuku". It is possible that this apposition was purposely done to show the friendship between ninja and samurai, but this cannot be ascertained fully.
I would like to thank my friend, DuelingArtist777, who gave me the inspiration for the name of this technique.
