The Phantom Flicker is a combination of the Body Flicker Technique, and Chakra Enhanced Speed, used by Karasu Youkai. It is used by using chakra to strengthen the user's body to dramatically increase the user's speed. This technique is untraceable to the naked eye, and appears as if the user has teleported. Even users of the Sharingan have extreme difficulty trying to follow this technique, if they are even able to do it in the first place.
This technique often creates an afterimage of the user, making it seem as if attacks simply phase through them, when in reality the user is no longer even there.
Thanks to the speed of this jutsu, opponents are often attacked without even seeing the user, making the attacks seemingly come out of nowhere from their perspective.
This jutsu gets its name from those two things, because the afterimages make it seem like the user is able to phase through things like a ghost, and the speed makes it seem as if the opponent is being attacked by nothing.
Also, this technique notably requires no hand signs to use, unlike it's parent jutsu the Body Flicker.
