The Puppet Master's Shell is a large, lumbering construct that Hotaru inserts himself into for large scale destructive operations. The construct in itself is proof of Hotaru's unique and boundary breaking take on puppetry, and one of his most exquisite pieces of art. It was known as Hotaru's gift to the Brotherhood, as its finances enabled Hotaru to purchase the materials necessary to build the behemoth.
Abilities[]
A huge construct roughly nineteen feet tall and eleven feet wide, the Shell is a very well armoured and well armed behemoth that can raze entire colonies to the ground. Its heavy weaponry and tough defences cause it to lose a lot of its mobility, but the Shell's destructive power is never in doubt. The user plugs both his arms into two specific slots and controls the behemoth with his chakra, literally a giant puppet, in other words.
- The Shell is armed with two large missile pods, which fire four highly explosive projectiles each.
- The Shell can draw out a long, cleaver like blade made from hardy metals from behind which it uses to melee targets, easily destroying concrete structures and capable of harming dragons made out of wood.
- The two arms of the Shell have a buzzsaw and harpoon instead of hands, which can be used for massive damage.
- The chest cavity of the Shell can open up to repeatedly fire balls of Explosive Tags, similar to cannonballs.
- The Shell is protected by steel, titanium and iron platings respectively. The first layer of the shell is a thick, modified iron alloy plating which functions as menacing first layer of defence which can block off most basic to medium elemental attacks. The second layer is a silver alloy which is thinner than the first layer, but overall stronger. It functions to keep attacks out and away from the third and final layer. If an attack makes it past the first two layers, a thick titanium plating awaits behind. This tough plating is difficult to break through but is by no means indestructible. While it is difficult for multiple attacks to break through the armour let alone one, a constant barrage by a large and powerful object can smash through the armor platings.
- The Shell also has its best safety features installed for its user cabin. The rather cramped five and a half foot, three foot wide cabin is padded with a foam like substance and rubber, designed to stop electricity flow to the cabin. The viewing section of the cabin is also narrow, to prevent the user to be exposed to external attacks. When the Shell is critically damaged, a mechanism triggers to eject the cockpit, saving the user.
