The Puppet Technique: Poisonous Marionette Style is a forbidden technique where, after injecting the victim with an "class-S poison", the target is turned into a puppet of the user. The victim is then subject to the user's bidding until the technique is broken.
Overview[]
Invented by Oshikiri, this technique was designed as an antipode to the Human Puppet technique, making living targets into the user's personal puppets. Bunbuku Chagama, the Kazekage, quickly declared the technique a kinjutsu though it is cleared for use in extreme circumstances. The technique requires the single "class-S poison" within Oshikiri's arsenal to be introduced to the intended victim's bloodstream. This can be done through direct injection or by coating weapons with the poison and breaking the target's skin. Once the poison is released into the bloodstream, a curse seal begins to spread across the victim's body.
The mark turns the victim's body grey with seal markings appearing across their eyes. The curse seal suppresses the victim's personality and control over their own actions completely, essentially turning them into the user's puppet. The poison, still within the victim's blood, releases a small amount of Oshikiri's chakra, allowing him to control their actions and movements. The victim retains usage of any techniques they would've had including kekkei genkai.
Other Uses[]
Summoning[]
Victims under the influence of this technique are also subject to a summoning contract, allowing them to user to call on them through the use of the Summoning Technique.
Drawbacks & Methods of Countering[]
The sole drawback of this technique is that it gradually kills the victim. The poison which carries the curse seal is also detrimental to the victim's health and will eventually cause organ failure leading to death. Furthermore, the curse mark itself absorbs the victim's chakra in order to sustain itself. Oshikiri speculates that this effect takes place within three days of the victim having been injected with the poison, at which point, death is inevitable.
There is, however, a method for countering both the poison and the curse seal. This counter exists in the form of an antidote invented by Oshikiri himself. Upon ingesting this antidote, the poison will be counteracted and the curse seal recedes. This antidote can only succeed if the victim ingests it within the three day time limit. Only this specific antidote or an exact replica can counter the technique and end it.
